2009-2011 Infiniti FX35 Shift Responsiveness Issues (Brand New Update #3)

I went in to check it out and see whats up, all they did was put it on the computer to see if there was any issues. They took it for a spin to see if they can find the issues, but they won't really do anything.

I only live 22 miles from my purchasing dealer so its all good. just that u have to schedule 2 days ahead. They'll drop off my loaner and take off with my FX and will do the opposite when its all ready.

I just had mine done today...they did the ECM and TCM. I must say I noticed a big difference. My dealer is 60 miles away so I had a nice drive home to test it out. The response is much better especially at the lower RPM range. It doesn't bog down under 50Mph anymore and hesitate when I push the gas. I think I'll probably get a bit better gas mileage with this update. My service advisor was very helpful and knew exactly what I was talking about.

I'm at the dealership right now and waiting for the verdict....
Two hours later -all done:good:

this is what my service manager's response with my lag problem....

To date this is my understanding,

There are no ITBs that address the listed conditions.

As per the description of the complaint this is what we can do:
Make sure fluid level is correct
Make sure fluid condition is good
Check system with CIII+ for faults/codes
Check control units for available updates
Test Drive the vehicle to see if it is operating as designed

Otherwise, if Infiniti feels that TCM/ECM logic needs to be changed to ‘improve’ shift feel, we will be notified by normal channels (ASIST/ITBs).

Additionally, the issue with downshifting (RPM taking a big drop) is normal operation of the charging system (This feeling is a by-product of the vehicle scavenging power from the motor/drivetrain by full fielding the alternator to charge the battery as much as possible on deceleration.) Infiniti may also ‘reduce’ this feeling with a TCM/ECM update.

Besides that nothing is published to date on this, nor am I aware of any current investigation either.

Just dropped off the Ugly Orange for service at Pepe and mentiond the TSB to the rep who really didn't comment on it before she put it through to the service tech. Hopefully hell know what to do without me having to go back and explain again.

Ok had the ecm and tcm done at Pepe Infiniti and I definitely feel a huge difference. Smoother shifting and better acceleration. I suggest anyone who can get this done go asap. Btw I was given a G37x as a loaner and couldnt wait to get my FX back...so not impressed

did you drop it off with the 24's or you took them off??

I feel the same way! I don't really have any complaints with the transmission currently but just knowing that everybody else is commenting on the huge difference makes me wonder just how smoothly it just might shift and perform.
Looking forward to the 2012 release of this!

Still nothing for the 50's yet!! This sucks big time, especially since you guys feel such a difference in the drive. Sounds like it completely changes the drving experience. Enjoy it fellas.
