What kind of battery are you running?

Sorry, just their automotive department went to JC. Not sure what happened overall with the Chinese company. I know we wanted A123 cells for our car, but they weren't selling at the time. I wasn't involved so I don't know if we contacted A123 or Johnson though. Found some from a company in Canada for like $33/cell, but we were worried about warranty and such if any issues came up.

im just saying that the piece of mind is there. if the optima is out of your price range, the Kirkland is there and available.

I also read that Kirkland carries the best warranty out of any battery available out of the top ten batteries. The first 3 years you get a replacement at no cost and up to 100 months a pro rated replacement depending on how long. Not surprised since Costco is such a large vendor. Oh and its 850 cranking amps and 700 cold cranking amps. Not bad at all

I just recently replaced my OEM battery in my '07 with an Optima Yellow Top

My battery is giving me a weak start in the cold so I think its about that time I replace it. I was looking for the best battery I could get at the best price and believe it or not I found a Costco battery at the top of the list on a few sites over Die Hard, Duramax, Optimas and some others. Anybody had any exprerience with these?

I have the Nissan/Infiniti replacement battery
I picked this because I needed one and i work there so...

so what battery did you get uglyorangething? i'm in nyc too and this cold weather is not helping my fx start too strong. i need a new battery pronto. lol. i sees that kirkland discontinued their battery.

I picked up a Die Hard Gold a few months ago to replace the original battery. So far so good.

I got serviced like a week ago and they said my battery was fine so I didn't change it yet but I did go to Costco and saw the Kirkland batteries are there for about $88 with like 100 month warranty

I'm still running the original OEM battery in my 2009 FX and it is still working great.
I have not started my FX in 6 weeks and it has been sitting outside in below freezing weather all of that time. I just went out and started her up and took her for a nic run. It started perfectly after sitting all that time :good:.

Autozone's Duralast Gold for me.:good: I like their warranty also. 5 year total warranty. 3 years free replacement and 2 years prorated. 640 Cold cranking amps and 800 normal use amps. Good battery. My FX fires up right away no matter how cold it is outside. However, it costs $120.00 though so it is not the cheapest battery to buy.

I am currently using a Stinger Power2 SPP925 AGM Battery for the main power source. Once I finalize the audio/video install I will be adding a secondary dedicated Stinger SPV20 battery to be installed in the spare tire wheel well and will be isolated from each other to avoid accidental discharge of the main battery. Specs of each battery are as follows: SPP925
Internal resistance: <5.0 mOhms = Ability to quickly deliver power. The lower the number the faster the delivery.
20 hour rate: 1.40A/28Ah
5 hour rate: 4.76A/23.8Ah
1/2 hour rate:35A/17.5Ah
5 Second Cranking Amps: 925A
CCA: 410A
Watts: 1850
Peak Discharge: >2400 A
Weight: 23.59 lbs.
Dimensions: (5”H x6.562”W x6.875”D)

SPV20
Internal resistance: <11mOhms
20 hour rate: 1A/20Ah
5 hour rate: 3.4A/17Ah
1/2 hour rate:25A/12.5Ah
5 Second Cranking Amps: 300A
CCA:230A
Watts: 1050
Peak Discharge: >375 Amps
Weight: 14.8 lbs.
Dimensions: (7.5”H x 7.12”W x 3”D)

ahu9y4e8.jpgUpdate on my battery issue. After having it checked out and it passing inspection the first time I went back for a regular oil change and now they say it needs to be replaced which I was sure about the last time I went in for service. This time they gave me a printout with 338 cold cranking amps when tested. So it failed inspection the second time around. Interesting how when I told them the first time they just said it was fine with no printout and now it went from good to fail in two months with a results printout to confirm the findings. Anyway back to the drawing board. Im gonna put in my own battery now im thinking should I go with a deep cycle battery or cold cranking amps.

My battery was replaced under warranty after i killed it by leaving my lights on overnight accidentally. It wasn't holding a charge after that. My dealer has been really good to me!

The dealer installed an M-series battery, which is bigger and has more CCA. It cranks faster in the cold weather.

Done deal, got a Kirkland signature series 850 cranking and 700 cold cranking battery with recommendations for an FX50 but it fit perfect in the 35. The one they recommend for the 35 is only 600 cranking amps. 3 years unconditional replacement and total of 100 months pro rated. $85 bucks can't beat that
