What kind of battery are you running?

Ran the battery as long as i could and finally got a replacement. Went to Costco and picked me up the battery for the FX50 and feel much more comfortable riding with my baby. (going back to get my $15 payback too) It took me some patience and thinking to figure out how to get the battery out of its housing..........smh lol..........but got it done.

Santa Lucia!! I just priced that one yesterday. 250 clams!!

I got an Interstate Megatron Plus,, and I just now integrated a battery tender. These whips have some nasty parasitic draw. That should do it. (Fingers crossed)

Hi all, I am running an Amaron pro battery. So far so good

Think my battery is pooocched. I see Canadian tire carries OPTIMA now. Wonder if they will special order in A Red Top D35 for me.

Did anyone confirm the EPT seal required ?
thanks

No, I'm still running the OEM battery, I would be interested on this EPT seal also. If you find anything out let me know Terry.

Reviving an old thread. Seems like I have had to replace my battery every year for the last 2 years now and I'm guessing it will be the same this year. I know the battery my local shop (Canadian Tire) uses is pretty shit (Motomaster), I'm sure Wayne can attest to that. Thankfully they have a 5yr replacement warranty and I just give them the dead one and get a new one.
I also read the part where some members have had some not so great experience with Optima's Redtop. I was browsing CarID today and came across "Odyssey" brand of batteries. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can anyone recommend a battery that's available in Canada that I wont have to worry about for at least a few years? The Sears stuff and a lot of brands are not available in Canada. Thanks

I have the odyssey PC1400 in my car to run my two Viair 444c compressors and paired with a 240amp alternator. Fitment is perfect
Got the battery from www.buyabattery.com

Thanks for the information, I'll need it if I decide to buy one. But I'm just wondering if the harsh winters in Toronto would adversely affect the battery compared to the mild weather in BC. I was hoping someone with cold weather experience would chime in any other type of battery as well. I just dont want to spend $250 every couple years.

I read a bit more into the manufacturer and I think i'll pull the trigger on the Odyssey 34R-PC1500T which as per their website is the one made for 2010 FX50 V8. Now I just gotta find a good price for it online.

I ran the Costco Kirkland after reading good reviews and finally replaced it after 6 years when it seemed to be on its last leg after the FX sat for a couple months. It never didn't start besides after it died completely, but it would barely start. They only sell Interstate batteries now, and I don't have a membership, so I ended up getting one from WalMart. The brand is Ever Start, and they seemed similar to the Kirkland in that it was a lower cost option but reviewed well. Do you have Wal Marts there that have the Tire and Auto dept or whatever it's called?

Costco 800 crank, 640 Cold on a battery tender. Good to stay fresh
Kinda take advantage of the 3 year return. Just pay 10- core charge. guilty
