GT Spec Suspension Bracing

There should be no fitment differences between the FX35 and 45 with either the rear lateral arm brace or the tie brace with either the AWD or RWD versions. My only concern is with the clearance of the lateral arm brace for the exhaust piping. If GTspec used a 3in diameter piping as a standard spec then this brace should fit any FX with aftermarket exhaust systems within that spec.


Btw....Ken, you can have my spot on the list as I do not need the rear bars. I only want the 2 front lower tie bar and brace.

Hey Turbo & Aiya: does anyone of you have after market exhaust? Like Dr.2K said, I don't think there is a fitment issue with stock exhaust on both 35 & 45. That's not to say a fitment confirmation isn't desired, however a fitment confirmation with an after market exhaust would be of a greater help. I'd volunteer, but only if vendor will honor a full refund if it doesn't fit. Also, I have a Stillen exhaust, which is not a 3" pipe. Even if it does clear my exhaust, it might not clear the Nismo.

It very well may. It just will depend on how much extra clearance GTSpec allowed for when they sent this piece to be manufactured. Fastest way to confirm fitment would probably be when rookie receives his new set from GTSpec he can measure it up against his old one or against mine or Will's.
 
I'm stock, but seeing as how the Kakumei y-pipe doesn't work with my '08, there might have been minor changes here and there. I wouldn't mind a trip out to the Island to stretch my FX's legs a bit. :biggrin:

+1 hopefully they read our threads when designing this, otherwise we're gonna have to make our own :mad:. I wonder if there would be issues on fitment on the front for the guys that have aftermarket exhaust.......sigh
 
That looks like an awfully tight fit. You have to remember that with the nismo exhaust we need the extension piece and that itself put a little more weight thereby bringing the exhaust a bit lower due to weight. This itself will undoubtedly increase the necessary clearance for the bar.

I think that is a great idea and I will be starting a new thread with pictures and an order status this afternoon specifically for this group buy. We will go by the current list and give the first 19 individuals (not counting Babaluwee) 5 days to either confirm or cancel their orders.

The current inventory consists of 19 Rear Lower Tie Braces, 19 Rear Lower Lateral Braces and 9 Front Strut Braces (Babaluwee ordered and paid for a complete set last night and we will be shipping his order out today.)

Truth be told we nor can GTSPEC confirm whether or not it will work with every after market exhaust. I will be posting the official GTSPEC product release complete with photos in our group buy thread and from there you can make the decision of whether it will work for your setup or not.

GTSPEC has confirmed that the rear bars will work for an FX35 or 45 in AWD or RWD.

We appreciate the offer but after speaking with GTSPEC today I don't think it will be necessary any longer.

ok, I take it then that you have no interest in test fitting with different exhausts & that is up to the end user to decide if this is fit for there aplication. perfectly understandable.

I'm willing to take the chance & even modify if necissary to confirm the stillen fitment on my own. I see that the prices you've listed include shipping. I also see that you'll accept a cash pickup... is there any deduction for shipping costs if these are picked up?

If you check out the clearance from the pictures in the group buy thread I think anyone will be able to tell if it will fit with their setup or not.

We have been told by GTSPEC that they expect to have them available in late summer to early fall. As soon as I have a confirmed date I will let everyone know.
