GT Spec Suspension Bracing

Great. I'm down for the rear brace combo.

When do you see yourself getting the front lower brace and 4point brace?

Sounds good, we have just sent over the funds to validate our Vendor Status so the group buy should be officially underway shortly.

We haven't received a specific date but we expect to have them sometime late summer to early fall.

Nice, Welcome to Vendor Status!

We've seen some prototype shots, but can you post some good photos of each item?

Thanks! I love the instantaneous 15 posts count ;) I look forward to servicing this community as best as I can.

I will work on getting some official pictures ASAP.

How 'bout a quick 100! lol

:xd: I'm going to have to take a crash course on FX modding over the next couple of days to see what products I have in stock for you guys/gals that I can post up. Anyone please feel free to PM links that maybe helpful (ex. common wheels sizes and offsets, common lowering techniques and suspension products, etc.)

I do have a question when it comes to clearence for the Rear Letteral bar.

I have a Stillen Exhaust and I wanted to know if it will be able to accomodate my set up. Is the set up made arround stock specs? Are there any differences if we have an AWD or RWD for the front brace set up?

Here is a pic of my Set up for the rear.

The braces were designed and tested to fit on a stock exhaust setup. The test car that was used by the manufacturer, GTSPEC, was an FX45. As far as I know from my brief reading on these cars, the FX45 only comes in an AWD variant. If I am mistaken someone please correct me. In addition, if there are known drastic differences between the RWD and AWD versions around the rear axle area of the FX models someone also please bring that to light. We are doing our best to find local test cars to physically test out the braces on each and every model and trim level but I am sure that you can imagine how difficult that is going be as the majority of FX owners are not looking to modify their automobiles. I know for a fact that GTSPEC has been in contact with Viet a.k.a. Rookie, to send him out a set of the new bars for him to test out on his car.

Just to make sure that everyone has a clear understanding, the products that are being offered through this group buy are the only products that are currently being offered by GTSPEC specifically for the FX. The front strut brace is a "strut tower brace" that is located with the engine compartment. At the moment GTSPEC has not released any front lower lateral braces for the FX. There shouldn't be a problem fitting the front strut brace on either a Rwd or AWD model FX35/45.

hey man, I'm in brooklyn but travel out to the island all the time. I'm def down for this & would be able to come to you with my fx if it helped, 03 awd 35. I too have a stillen exhaust like humberto, & I'm interested in all 3 pieces too, as long as the rear bars actually fit:tongue:

as far as we've seen, the only differences between any of the models is the 45 uses beefier rear axle joints, otherwise no differences 35-45 & rwd as far as rear suspension...

Sounds good, I'll let the guys at GTSPEC know so that we can set something up.

I think we should go by the list that was already started for priority, & as to how long you will wait for payment before one loses their your place in the commitment line. You can update status as paid/unpaid/commit cancelled status, etc. You should start a new thread and include the above terms in the GB section , Group Buys - InfinitiScene.com

Please be specific as to what's avail to us at :iS:, notwithstanding any other commitments to other forums or groups. Please provide product images in that thread, as this is a new item.

yes, let's figure that out now (the time before someone loses his/her place)... cause, I'm #21 and believe me, I'm welling to pay for it now, but I have to wait for the other 20 people ahead of me

I have a Stillen exhaust also. From looking at the pictures from these 2 links, I'm thinking the lower of the 2 tie bar is cutting extremely close to the passenger side exhaust pipe. It'd be nice if we can confirm whether or not Stillen's exhaust will clear.

If the rear lateral arm brace was designed with the oem fx45 exhaust specs, then this part may not fit some with aftermarket exhaust systems....specifically the nismo exhaust due to the 3in pipe diameter. This was the case when I did my custom set using the ones made for 350z's.

I hope GTspec took this into consideration and made extra room for possible clearance issues with aftermarket exhaust systems..

maybe I'm not so welling afterall

So do we start paying or are we going to wait for confirmed fitment on both RWD and AWD?

I'm ready to pay once everything is good to go. =)

Agreed

Before this gets officially started, fitment standards should be figured out. Last thing anyone wants is a "Group Return" :err:
