What do you dislike most about your FX?

Just about all of the "complaints" here are small and trivial issues. Hardly complaints at all but minor annoyances which can be expected anywhere. The far majority of us here love our cars.
There is one thing that I honestly hate about my FX. It has genuinely bothered me for a while and it is not getting any better.
I hate the fact that some day, I will have to give up this fastastic car and replace it with something else. I hope this is a long time away, but it will happen. Other cars don't matter so much. I hate that I will one day have to let this FX go.

How on earth do you get 17mpg in the city? I get 12mpg, and mine is AWD just like you. And I've never gotten 25mpg on the highway unless I cruise at 55mph. Best I've ever gotten was like 20mpg on a roadtrip. Intake didn't change it, plenum spacer didn't change it, new plugs didn't change it, exhaust didn't change it. Considering there's not much power, it's a little disappointing.

I'm getting close to 18mpg in the city all the time, heavy foot driving. 22-24mpg on highway. Mine is AWD also, with Stillen CAI and Exhaust, no spacers.

I'm with Shadow on this one. Got around 12-14 mpg city, and 20-22 mpg highways (this is based on actual calculations not the trip computer). My average was around 15 mpg every fill up. This was also running the 20" Axis Ordens, which are heavier than stock but not sure if that would make a huge difference.

I'm running 22"s, but my mileage didn't really change from the OEM 18"s. I want to say I averaged .1 or .2 mpg worse. But that's still not anywhere near 17 or 18mpg in the city. After changing plugs, I got .1 better on average and the rest of the mods didn't change mileage. All of this is actual calculations.

I think maybe we just all have different definitions of city driving. I live in Atlanta and primarily the FX is driven during rush hour commutes. I also live in the city and morning commute takes 25 minutes for about 6 miles. Return trip in evening is 40-45 minutes for the same 6 miles. Also lots of stoplight racing to merge and pass cars. So I get that mileage will suffer, but it still seems low for a 3.5L V6. My brother's '06 G35 gets 16-18mpg in the same conditions and it's basically the same motor other than his is the revup. I've never averaged better than low 13's in the city. It's hard to believe, but I guess the additional weight over the G and the AWD system really do kill the fuel economy.

Where I live it costs 10 cents for one liter of gas, that is about 8 dollars for a full tank on the FX.

Wouldn't that make the FX even more charming?

It premium unleaded - high quality, and pardon my earlier quote, it is 0.13$ per liter - it is so cheap that I have never tried to know how much it costs exactly.

No worries, you will cheer back up soon :), after being so cheap for as long as I can remember, the new government has decided to remove the cost support and it will be 0.8$ per liter effective August 2013.

But, they will give each citizen 1,150$ per month as a compensation :)

The only thing that I hate is the placement of the drivers side door handle and the window switches. I have to be careful not to scratch the aluminum trim with my watch.

Other then that it's a nicely engineered ride and rare enough that you don't see one out on the streets every day. Still looks like a concept car IMHO.

Honestly there really is not one particular thing I hate about my FX. In a year and a half of ownership there's actually so much that i love about it :)

I dislike that fact that there is no aux port on the head unit on the 03. Also, I agree that the cup holders are a little ugh. That said, I LOVE my 2003 FX45 AWD which I just bought from my parents with 51000 miles on it. I can't wait to start modding it!
