What do you dislike most about your FX?

I'm not sure why, but when I come up to my FX with the Ikey in my pocket (while dark outside) neither the interior or puddle lights come on. My wife's Toyota Sienna does... Also, I'd say that there are WAY too many beeps when I open or close the rear hatch. It's like a semi backing up for a month straight.

Thats because that feature is deactivated from the factory. You can turn it on yourself just look it up in the manual. Mine does it.

Any idea what the drivers side door handle request switch is? Is this the outside handle button?

"
To activate or deactivate the welcome light

2. Open the driver

4. A chime sounds when the setting is
completed.

All set, thanks for the heads up. I thought it was defaulted on, and not working... I still hate the beep for the liftgate though! Other than that this is by far my favorite vehicle and no complaints!

If you want to get rid of the beep for the power trunk closing you can disconnect it if you want. Its behind the interior trim on the trunk hatch.

I have to bump this thread to add something/make sure something is not wrong with my car.

Does the FX not have a beeping function to warn that you have pulled away with you E-Brake on?

Might seem stupid and it is, but I somehow did not notice the light on the dash and drove atleast half a mile before I realized my e brake was depressed (someone else had put it on and they had put it on very lightly, so I didnt feel any difference).

My 2007 Camry and my 2004 Sierra both have a chiming noise similar to the seat belt warning that I am driving with the e-brake depressed.

If this is not something the FX has that would be a big dislike for me as it seems like a pretty consistent thing among other manufacturers...

I agree with meme. This is one home that should be included. Buzzers that warns you of obvious things drives me bonkers; the door is wide open you say, well I didn't notice.

All windows on my 2004 FX45 roll down with the unlock button on the key fob, what I hate is that they do to roll up with the lock button, I saw I thread stating that they do, I tried it again several times, they don't.

I hate very much changing the intake air filter.

I have to agree with you about the air filter change on the 2004 FX45. you have to remove the complete center intake pipe and connecting hoses just to remove the airbox lid. However, I do not change it often so I can live with it until I trade her in for the FX50S.

There is no beeping function or warning. I've done it several times because my other car has a handbrake. So I tend to forget. If you go fast enough, the brake heats up and starts making a weird noise, but you're melting the brake by then. I've always been puzzled by the lack of a warning.
