No one mentioned crappy ride over crappy streets?

OK I will then!.... Crappy ride over crappy streets!
Crappy brakes & crappy bluetooth with the iPhone....that is all! :bulgy-eyes:

While the FX does have a firm ride ( I assume you knew that when you bought it), tires play a huge role in how soft the ride can be made. When I switched from the OEM Bridgestones and went to Yokohama Parada Spec X tires, it was a world of difference. I did give up a little quick steering responsivness to get a softer ride but it was well worth it IMHO. The OEM Stones were brutally stiff and slick.

I dont know if you made that up but the rear windows do not roll down with the keyfob. Only the front windows roll down with the keyfob. As a matter of fact no Infiniti has rear window roll down. It doesnt exist lol.

The steering wheel switches do light up. Mine light up in a pretty white light as night time. Maybe yours are broken.

Dont know what you mean about the unsteer mine drives fine on the highway I dont have it.

My rear rotors never warped and I have 51K on thr oringal rotors and have been through 2 brake pad changes. This is the best braking system ive ever had in terms of reliability.

If you think the lights are dim inside upgrade to Leds for cheap money.

I don't know how my rears are rolling down by them selves, but sometimes I come out and they are down. I assumed I was hitting and/or maybe holding the button on the fob when I put it in my breifcase as I exit the car after parking on the driveway. I can't intentionally make them roll down using the fob even if I try. When I hit the unlock button twice and hold it after the second press, the fronts will roll down but only the fronts. I can't make the rears roll down when I intentially try to do it using any combination of key fob button presses that I've tried. I'm not dreaming they roll down. Sometimes it just happens and it pisses me off when I come out side and they are down. It's happend four times that I can remember.

I need to correct one of my statements.
The rear rotors were never warped but they produced the sensation that they were when braking after about 30K miles. When I pulled mine apart to check out why it felt like they were warped, I dial indicated them. They were only running out .002". That's not enough to generate a pulsation when braking so it must have been hard spots or varing roughness of the rotor surface that was causing the problem. After I had the rotors skim cut by removing about .010" and installed new OEM pads, the braking felt perfectly fine. The pads were worn out when I pulled it apart and they were changed when I reassembled it, so the worn pads may have been contributing to the pulsations but I've never known pads to cause pulsation issues. It's alawys been a warped rotor or surface imperfections that caused pulsations for me.

Thanks for the tip on LED bulbs............I'll check that out.

I hate that the FX50s (or any late model FX for that matter) power liftgate option does not come standard. These are luxury-class suvs, how do you forget to include that as a standard feature?

I hate that the FX50 exhaust seems to be carry-over bits from a v6. The whole system is entirely too restrictive and even a cat-back exhaust will not provide optimum flow from the system.

I generally hate the lack of FX50 aftermarket bits in the US, especially bolt-on performance. But, she is a rare beast and I knew that coming in. I fight the same battle on my Defender 90.

The fact that the rear end is an exhaust magnet.
Wash it, drive but five miles and your car is covered in carbon soot from the exhaust circulating around the ass end.
We've all been there.

Wow seems like a lot of people dislike the bluetooth performance, I've never had anyone complain about mine. Do you guys roll up the windows if your using it while the car is in motion? I always roll up my windows so I don't create wind noise and I never had anyone tell me I sound bad. If the windows are down I would imagine even a good cell phone would sound bad with the wind noise.

Other than the fact that they STILL haven't gotten the re-flashes right for performance with the FX50, my only dislike is the lack of trunk space, especially if you have the organizer and the tonneau cover installed. Put a large gym bag and a small cooler in the trunk and everything else is riding in the back seat. lol

Don't even think about going to BJ's or Costco and buying paper towels or toilet tissue because the rest of the groceries will definitely be riding in the car with you. lol

I hate the rearview Mirror as it blocks my vision of the right side. Hope this get fixed in newer model.

Brakes.. I have had to get work done on them every 15k miles.. they are poorly designed. Love everything else.
Why not go aftermarket? I got Racingbrakes brakes and pads for my 2011 G37xS and they should be a direct bolt-on to the FX50s. Save a lot of weight, improved the ride a lot and brought braking to new level. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for...

I hear you, the lack of aftermaket parts will be a reason why I will likely change soon. But then again, what do we need? CAI, HFC, Coilovers and camber arms? We already got: springs, exhaust, brakes, wheels and tires, braces...

my friend calls me on his FX Bluetooth ... must say it sucks on my end, when i'm with him, the incoming is great; like i said in another thread, the cap filter is horrible, should be a door and that's it, i do understand that the design of the vehicle required some concessions ... for the rest, if you don't like the basics, you shouldn't be driving this wonderful machine ... my Zero rules on the road, come down hard on traffic, takes no prisoners, pow pow one after another :)

^ If you are referring to the LDWS, there is a switch that turns it off on the 1st gen. You have the '07 right?

Beeping lane thing that cannot be turned off permanently.
Yep...as Cruiser said. LDW can shut off each time you turn the car on by pressing the button by your left knee. Also, as many of us here have done, it can be changed to be off by default by pressing and holding the button for (i think) ten seconds or so. Make sure the car is on when you try this.

I'm not sure why, but when I come up to my FX with the Ikey in my pocket (while dark outside) neither the interior or puddle lights come on. My wife's Toyota Sienna does... Also, I'd say that there are WAY too many beeps when I open or close the rear hatch. It's like a semi backing up for a month straight.
