Nope, not missing the insert. The only cups that really fit it are the big fast food to-go cups. Cans, water bottles, coffee thermos, they all sit there with nothing holding them in place or keeping them from tilting over.

Other than that, I love my FX.
 
The thing that ticks me off is that the 20" wheels allow me to see the dirty backside....have to clean it again...be right back.

Are stock brakes and Brake Check brakes the same?
Regardless, both squealed when I drove in reverse in the mornings.

when I WAS driving it on a daily basis, I had no complaints at all. Granted back in 2007, gas prices weren't as high and I was making more money (see my post on page 1). As for the tape deck, it's more embarrassing than anything else because I actually didn't listen to music much when I drove my FX, I LOVE the sound of the exhaust. (when I say embarrassing I mean like imagine if you still have a VCR in your living room and someone came to your house and saw it... lol). Other than that, no real complaints, if I had as many complaints as some of you I would have sold it a long time ago.

As for driving up to Seattle or Pacific Northwest? Probably won't happen anytime soon.

Do you guys lube all the contact points ( where metal touches metal ) I've never had a problem with squeaky brakes on the other hand I do hate the tape deck but glad it's hidden.

The steering wheel switches do light up. Mine light up in a pretty white light as night time. Maybe yours are broken.

Dont know what you mean about the unsteer mine drives fine on the highway I dont have it.

My rear rotors never warped and I have 51K on thr oringal rotors and have been through 2 brake pad changes. This is the best braking system ive ever had in terms of reliability.


If you think the lights are dim inside upgrade to Leds for cheap money.

My rear window roll down with the remote key FOB also!
 
Squeaking rear brake pads have been a chronic issue with Nissan/Infiniti. When I had my Pathfinder, the forums were awash in complaints about the noise whenever people backed out of their driveways in the mornings. I'm fortunate enough that it hasn't happened to the FX yet.
 
That my damn dash is bubbled!
My cruise control does not work!


Overall, i love this car...More than i loved my M3(GASP). I love it even more now...after i cleaned my stillen intake i now get 17+mpg in the city and 25+ on the highway. Yippie
 
How on earth do you get 17mpg in the city? I get 12mpg, and mine is AWD just like you. And I've never gotten 25mpg on the highway unless I cruise at 55mph. Best I've ever gotten was like 20mpg on a roadtrip. Intake didn't change it, plenum spacer didn't change it, new plugs didn't change it, exhaust didn't change it. Considering there's not much power, it's a little disappointing.
 
I don't hate anything about my FX

Just wish we had a heated steering wheel and i wish i had more money to do mods:)
