VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

Yes, I have an M45, but I have the 03-04 (Y34) one, not the newer 06-10 (Y50) model. The ECUs are different. I do see that they do 03 FX45s so hopefully they have the same ECU or mine is at least close enough.
 
Okay so now my guy is saying earlier and he'll be doing some additional work for me as well. Trimming the wheel wells (the roll won't let me go flush) so i can run my spacers 10mm front 5mm rear as I did b/4 I dropped it last. Be nice to have my laundry list caught up somewhat.

If I could drop it off to have my wheels painted before I leave for the Kong I'd be feeling good........
 
Man talk about dialing it in, the difference between gunmetal and hyper silver...... Hey, final coated header will be ready today or tomorrow, pics of final product soon!
 
Stated as this week, I am in no hurry as I am leaving Saturday and the day of feasting is upon us. If it has any issues at start-up I'd rather it stay with the master until I get back.

Just a thought here, but have you or anyone else here looked into getting intake manifold spacers made like the ones available for the VQ35? I'm sure if we could get enough people interested we could make a business case for some from NWP or Motordyne.

They made some pretty decent gains on the VQ35 (FWD at least-haven't gotten then on my G), not to mention a nice drop in underhood temps and a reduction in the manifold heatsoak. The price was also cheap so I think quite a few people would get on board with it.
 
Someone posted before only the VQ35DE gets good gains and the VK45DE is pretty optimal and doesn't require a spacer.
 
Yeah I made a long post about it, complete with pics, of how the VQ has a design flaw because it needs to fit in the 350Z engine bay. That's where the spacer comes in. Maybe it would help the 45 also, but since not near as many people will buy it, there's no reason for a company to go through with R&D to make them.
 
I'll ask my engine guy for his input and see if he thinks there would be any benefit. Less that one hour to start up on my engine...sucks as I leave for the Kong tomorrow morning, no time to drive, photo or video. Going to have to pretend this didn't happen for seven days =(
