Charles was really excited regarding delivery. He had a Titan owner (and a potential FX owner) at his shop during the button up and first ignition and said they were going nuts and would both like to do the same build.....
So the FX starts up with a woof again (it didn't do this with the Nismo alone) but it's shorter and more definitive than it was with the Invidia, more of a bark =). At idle its surprisingly quiet but emits a nice rumble and the lope is evident, total V8 emission.
Up to 2-3K it is still moderate with no drone then between 3,500 and 4K (when pushed) it wakes up and the sound gets much more radical, to the point where you wonder what's under the hood. Charles thinks the unique sound is a combination of the long tubes AND the CAM's as it is not just one or the other. Also the HFC's won't be available until January so he ran it straight from the headers to the Nismo, I am amazed how Jekyll and Hyde it is, if you don't push the engine it just sound a bit more......unique. The HFC's will definitely take the edge and make it more stealth but I'm fine running it like this for awhile to see how it breaks in. really it is surprisingly mellow........but I only drove it a few blocks so I'll hold off on any major reports for the time being.
Power has yet to be determined, there is a break in period but it has much more pull even at half throttle. When I get back I'll log some miles and then get it Re-tuned, it should smooth out and we'l see what everything adds up to. No lights yet BTW......
