turbocad's custom fx

:biggrin::smile:

I was never really crazy about the films either, but it's better than all the chips I would get, there always doing construction & stuff, now there spreading salt on the roads when it snows... theres always trucks on the road kicking up stuff...

I want to avoid getting any chips, keep it looking new for a little while at least:tongue: I like when they look mint & perfect & every little chip or scratch takes away from it looking mint. I can peel the film off in a year or 2 & polish it up & have no sand blasted hood & grille area... stuffs supposed to hold up well, we'll see

that's the inside of my spraybooth, I did the install in there, the filtered air & heat & lighting helped the install alot too... I even baked it then squegeed then baked again, waxed the whole nose, then pulled it out into the slushy snowy crap:rolleyes:

Love that Color Man....

I say the same thing when I see pictures of yours:laugh:

it is so hard to really capture the color on film & really see it like it really looks. I love the color at night, you can still definatley see it's not regular black...

I know what you mean.. I love it when it turns dark and I park the car next to a parking garage light or drive by a dealership..

Looks great..

Also, when I get together with Will you can see the difference right way...

Looking at your headlight assembly, have you though about taking the (big) lights off, with their assembly, and more the sunroof control to another spot, maybe on the rear side even, with new, LED lights?

This way I think you could be able to move the monitor further up, without losing view of the top. The problem would be to finish the hole left. I don't think it would be easy to get material for that, to look stock at least. Maybe leather?

I'm still not sure what I'm going to wind up doing up there... I like the interior lights & wouldn't want to have to redesign the whole thing, I could finish it to look like it belonged there I think, but I'm not too crazy about the idea of gutting that really.

I got too many different ideas for up there, depends on what i decide to do with my system in the fx really, if I do an all out system I may try to build my processor display & control in overhead.... too many different ideas to really say which way I'm going to go with that, right now it's perfectly fine temped out to me... I'm working on other things right now to keep me mod busy enough to not worry about that right now:smile:

I just re-read this post from top to bottom.

I love it, so many cool things turbo.
I Can't wait to see the headlights come out!

yeah, you & me both:laugh:

these headlights have turned into a real lot of work. the biggest problem was that I want them to both raise & lower togeather from the knob on the dash. it woulda been so much less work if I just had the inners fixed position. I got it all sorted & it's working nice, but I gotta crack open a few more headlights cause I got a few marks on the chrome rings & I want to leave the rings chrome so marks are not good. don't want any flaws inside the lenses, that would kill it. I also got a brand new set of lights from the dealer for my recall & I'm going to use those lenses, probably use those chrome bezels too really, think I'm gonna paint them satin black with the chrome rings...

so far the rear of the headlight housings are pretty much done & rewelded togeather, the projector mountings, pivots & motorization is all done & aligned & working, I now need to work on finishing up the cosmetic end of the bezels, bodywork & paint them. these turned out to be a lot of work but the end result looks pretty sick, I'll put up a few shots tommorow

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

actually, it'll wind up being the day after the day after tomorrow, wasn't at work long enough today to even take some pictures of them :frown:

damn, I suck... never got around to any of the headlight latest pictures.. just been too busy lately to screw with them & even dig them out of my basement.

main reason why I was even going to show any more "in progress" pictures of them is because someone requested seeing them & more info, cause there attempting something similar... I should have them up soon, sorry:frown:

well, I finally got some shots of these headlights & where there at so far, I'm going to start working on them again & finish them up

I also cut half a coil out of the front springs & shaved the rear upper spring mount... still don't really look low:tongue:
