turbocad's custom fx

Wow that really does look pretty sweet! only downside is that i really like the 2006+ interior (buttons and all) a lot nicer than the previous years. the screen looks sick though.

that's probably the only thing I still need is the right side airbag, I haven't fully researched if I can use an 07 airbag with my 07 dash or if I have to use the original 03 one, so my airbag system is dead right now. the 03 bag is $1255 list & the 07 is only $864, I thought a used one might pop up but these things are just imposible to find really. I also bought an 07 g35 steering wheel so I'm gonna have to buy an airbag for that if I decide to put that wheel in, gotta test fit it & see.

also the control module should be repaced & it's huge money too,$870... theres guys on ebay that claim to hack them & reset them, I belive it's possible so I want to try that before I had to buy a module. the factory makes the deployment code unresetable so you have to buy a new module for every deployment as a saftey measure, but it's bs... if they can hack it & get it to reset I'd be good with that, it'll still function the same, if anything the factories should require manditory replacement of the crash sensors after a deployment, but they don't?

oh my god, this thing is awesome! I really want to see those new headlights...oh and those paddle shifters??? sick! Im going to re read some of what you posted on those. I'd be interested in getting that done. Great job turbo!!

This is a great thread. Awesome mods!
When can you start making some side mirror mods for us

I'm working on making templates for the mirror cuts, after the holidays I should be able to do them for people & I'll put up a guide for those that want to do it themselves, same like the paddles. I'm building a set of paddles for an fx right now & a set of mirrors for someone else, one at a time, see how that goes.

both of these mods even if I did all the fabrication there is some minor trimming involved by the end user, the mirrors more than the paddles really, & I'm a little concerned about people being able to make the mirror cuts in the body itself of the mirror without screwing it up... it's not hard & the cuts are all covered if done right, but tools are required & everyone has different abilities, to do whole mirror assemblies as a bolt on would be way to expensive

right now I'm polishing my hood & getting ready to try a clear bra install on my truck, never did one so I'll see how that goes.. looks tricky:tongue:

awe man, I called it a truck... are there guys here that will yell at me for that too:burnout:

I put my clear bra on tonight... upper part anyway, tommorow I'll do the bumper, didn't have time to wetsand it & polish it, real pita, now I know why there so expensive to have done

came out good, it's a little tricky but not too hard really, takes time & patience, they give a great video instruction with it too, I hate all the little chips that acumulate, well worth the $180 or so I think...

That 2nd picture looks real good John. I'm personally not really into the clear bra but some seem to really like it.
