GT Spec Suspension Bracing

I'll probably be over there while you're there

As for having braces in stock, there aren't any...we (you guys!) got them all. Only front braces are in stock. But, rest assured when the shipment arrives with more stuff, pending how this test fit goes, once again we'll be the ones to get them from :)

quick update ... I'm still here @ GT Spec and were still test fitting the front bar that goes by the radiator. In order to install these, you have to install a rivet that expands onto your frame so that the brace can bolt on. I took a video on how to install the rivet and I will post it when I get home.

Has Noah offered to give you a ride in his car yet?

So... you took a ride in the Chevy??? Torque monster?

Btw, why is a "rivet" needed? Why can't the bar be fixed to solid points already available? Is this rivet idea going to be a weak link in the bar's rigid structure? Anybody confused by what I'm getting at? It seems like this is just adding another flex point / joint that would make room for some wiggle (on an extremely small scale, but more-so than if the bar had pre-existing solid points to mount up to).

from what I'm gathering he's talking about using like a nutsert, in an existing frame hole... these are used for OEM mounting & are fine, basically it's installing a threaded bolt hole where one wasn't before... there pretty strong used for many OE stuff, including the mounting of most roof racks on most cars...

exactly ... He used an existing hole in the chassis to bolt the brace. You'll have a better idea of it once I post the pics up.

:call:Any updates? pics? yet.:lollypop:

As promised, here are the pics that I took while I was @ GT Spec so they can test fit the 4 point lower brace and the under engine tie brace. I got there around 12:30 PM thanks to NY traffic but it was well worth it going all the way out to meet with these guys.

It took us (yes, I helped ..) about 5 hrs to get everything done. We didnt have the proper bolts for the 4 point lower brace so it I did not make it home with me :frown: but the good news is that it lined up properly and according to Ken, after today, it should only take 2-3 weeks till they get them in stock.

I just wanted to thank the guys @ GT Spec for taking the time to test fit this product before they sell it to us to ensure proper fitment. Noah, Mark and Ken were not afraid to get dirty trying to install these pieces on my FX. Kudos!!!

This is the "rivet" that goes into the chassis so that it the brace has something to connect to, as you tightened the long bolt it compresses and locks in to your chassis therefore it will be on there permanently.
