GT Spec Suspension Bracing

Here's a video on how install the "rivet" ... After we took this video we realized we should use a bolt with a stationary head like the ones in this picture. The steps are still the same but we used a different bolt. According to Mark (guy on video) the front lower brace will come with all the necessary hardware to install including the big bolt.

Are they working or plan on making a Mid Chassis Reinforcment Brace Also?

Oops! You added that before I saw it

Wow, that looks great! Thanks for taking the time to do this JC and helping out the FX community. Can't wait to get this installed.

It really did look good, looking @ it 1st hand. As we were installing we came to a conclusion that the front lower brace CAN NOT be a DIY, unless you have a compressor and an impact gun because it needs a lot of torque to get the metal rivet to compress.

Oh my gawd. That looks EXPEN$IVE, with a dollar sign for an S even... :embarrassed:

I didn't know there was plans for 3 braces up front and 2 in the rear...

They didn't mention anything about a mid-chassis brace.

I was in awe on how light these braces were, I never got my rears from the 1st group buy so I was surprised about the weight.

Man all these braces are going to make for a one STIFF FX!!!!:laugh:

Let me tell you Doc .. When I took my first turn with that Lower tie brace, I was like "whoa". I couldnt believe how fast my front reacted to a slight turn of my wheel but then it was followed by my rears swaying out of control since I dont have the rear bars. Noah and Mark mentioned that they were gonna try and get me the rears since I do not have them.

So these are powder-coated right? Can this be stripped pretty easily and re-coated a different color? I don't much care for the GTSPEC official color, and besides I have the merged G35 rear bar now... so I'm going to powder-coat that one anyways. The orange might not look too shabby down under.

Oh and I have a confession to make... I have yet to install a brace of any kind ... don't stone me please :(

BUT...!!! When I do finally get around to having these installed, it will be everything at once, and probably on a new set of tires.

thank you JC for taking the time to go out there on a friday. Also kudos on the pics, very nice and makes for a good reference for future brace DIY or SDI (Shop Did It lol)

:bigsmile::xd::6wink::4tongue:

gee, after looking at the stuff on my PC (instead of my phone), you're right... they DO look expensive :err:

btw, do we know there won't be any issues with AWD on these?

They did say on an earlier reply there were no fitment issues with the 35 and 45 so I am deducing there is no issue with the AWD.

looks like if anything, if they release the mid brace, that may interfere with transfer case?

If they do happen to manufacture the mid-brace I am sure someone here will be more then happy to go test fit . But I hope they do come out with one for us.
