Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

Replaced dasboard under warranty

Took by 2005 FX into Tampa Florida last Friday to have the bubbling dashboard replaced under warranty. I wanted to wait for it, but they said it was a 3 hour job so they gave me a loaner.

Final charge $9.97 for "Miscellaneous supplies":wink (2):

Only problem was that they forgot to reconnect the radio antenna, luckily I was only a few miles away so I was able to go back and have it fixed

I live 60 miles one way from the dealer, had I waited until I got home to try the radio I would have been pissed.
 
Like many other members who r kinda mad at the quality of the dashboard, do u feel the same about it? I will replace mine eventually but not thrilled abt getting that thick new sanpaper.

The top part (by the speaker grills) is not as nice as the original. It seems to be made out of a dull black composite material.
The other part that surrounds the nav screen and airbag appears to be almost identical to the original.
Sun is the enemy of the original dashboard. Mine started as small pimples :smile (2): then they multiplied in direct relationship to how long the car was parked in the sun while at work.

Just dropped off my FX35...and decided to snap a few shots of how bad my dash was. I live in Houston and our summer are pretty hot.

yeah it was pretty bad...i never took it in because I didn't even want to know what the cost was to replace the dash from the dealer. Then i saw this thread and took er in and i'll pick er up tomorrow.

When my dad saw it he said that it looked like i has an Ostrich skin dash...:embarrassed:
 
It actually looks worse in person I think. Good time to take out the ladies on their first date in that thing.
 
Wow. I thought my dash was bad. I don't think I would be able to drive my car with the dashboard looking like that. The difference will be night and day!
 
I think I seen puss coming out!!!!! Can you snap a few pics of the new dash??? I'm going to have mine done on friday... Scared now that say it doesn't look as good..

The dash went from perfect to looking like that in 8 months...

Yeah it was pretty bad...when i saw this thread and saw the minor bubbling ya'll were getting i though i'd take a picture of mine to show ya'll what a really bad dash looks like...i blame Houston summers...:tdown:

Yes it is.
Call Infiniti Canada and they will send you a Warranty Extension Letter if you haven't got it. Then go to the dealer, Otherwise the dealer will most likely have no clue what you're talking about.
 
Lovely, just noticed this morning that the dash on my '05 is bubbling. I guess the central TX heat lately has taken its toll.
