What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Went to two places for an opinion... both said no.. I kind of knew yesterday that it wasn't repairable.. too close to the sidewall... sucks so bad. other 3 tires have a year on them, so I'm thinking of just buying one and not two...
You don't have many miles on them, I would replace just one.

Called about 11 tire shops and had luck with one.. can source out my tire by this afternoon.. so he says lol... I need a
Good luck with getting one soon.
I picked up a nail in one of my Paradas last year, luckily they could fix it, they plugged it and also put a patch on the inside.

Got a flat but luckily i had a $10 per tire protection plan. It was unrepairable so they gave me a brand new Pirelli Pzero Nero size 285/30/24 worth around $350 free of charge. Well i had to pay tax:)c6e4c996-2cee-b312.jpg

I investigated a little squealing sound that started recently in the area of the alternator belt. Found a loose shaft on the "fan" idler pulley, and a tensioner pulley bearing in pretty bad shape (grinding and clicking) so I grabbed replacements for both at the dealer. Installing them now...

'07 and up, I think it is, doesn't have one of those pulleys for whatever reason. I want to say it's the idler one but it's been a year since someone was telling me about it.

It's the idler "fan" pulley (the one with the silver bracket in my pic). I saw the diagrams for both at the dealer today. I almost bought a late model belt to see if it would fit with the idler removed but I started chatting with the service tech and forgot. The diagrams look the same though aside from that pulley and the shorter belt...

There are some damaged spots on the lip from the wifey's bad parking but no crack on the spokes. Thats jus the way the wheels are made.

Yep, sounds right. I know it's in the top left as you face the engine. If you want any pics of the layout without it feel free to ask. I had a hard time getting the smaller belt since Gates' catalog only lists the '08 with the smaller one, but it's actually not the exact size. It's one belt size smaller but can be squeezed on there.

Getting my bi-yearly smog check done.. Worker made me pop my hood when he saw the Stillen exhaust and wanted to make sure I have the CARB-EO # for the Stillen intake. A couple of subarus were in earlier with intakes but no carb # = automatic fails.
