What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

do they need to remove the muffler to weld the tips? just thinking regarding wasting gaskets

Yes. Buy the OEM Nissan gasket and one of the cheaper universal gaskets ($5). Install the cheap gasket for the trip to the shop and give them the Nissan gasket to install after the tips are done.

Here's a quick UPDATE. Going on the entrance ramp on the hwy, hear small, sharp clanks in the right rear... look back at the mirror and don't see anything I ran over. Then I hear the rhythmic sound of a protruding nail in the tire... Love changing a tire in 100+ degree weather.

You can get 3" gaskets for the Nismo from the Stealership, and 3" universal gaskets from whatever shop you'll be visiting to have the work done.

OEM is 2.25".

Awww man, your BBK is covered up now in the rear!

sucks Ian. Hopefully it is repairable.

I like the look of the wheel on my car. Looks like I need a 50 mm spacer to make it herra frush :)

On all four would be too aggressive ;-)

Had to drive with this thing in the city. On the hwy I hugged the right lane so that no one would see it. Haven't been on the right lane in years lol.

Yeah I might try to install them next week when I'm off from work since I have to take the bumper off. Or maybe just wait till I get my JBT BBK and get them installed that day. Just have the guy from the shop do it himself. It's my friends boy and he told me he takes care of people specially bc of the type of work I do, he hooks us up with deals lol.

that puncture seems repairable to me: apply heavy duty patch within and rubber cement the hole, no?

sux that if all that tire thread is going to waste.

Went to two places for an opinion... both said no.. I kind of knew yesterday that it wasn't repairable.. too close to the sidewall... sucks so bad. other 3 tires have a year on them, so I'm thinking of just buying one and not two...
