Oil Leak in Spark Plug Compartment?

I clean the plug and tube, my mistake thinking it would still be there. they couldn't see anything at allas if nothing happened.

I didn't clean the tube, so I guess there will still be a small pool of oil deposit there. What really concerns me is the front cylinder. The leak at front is not fixable unless you rebuild the engine, according to my buddy.

I'm not an expert on this issue but I'm learning like everyone else as I go. an example Jeff says he changes his plugs every 10K don't quote me on that but in his case he'd probably catch any internal oil leak that some of us are experiencing. we take our vehicles in for 15K, 30K, 45K, 60K etc but none of those services are for spark plugs so you'd probably never find out until it become a problem.

Yes, you are right! The whole problem started when I decided to change out my spark plugs. Luckily, Infiniti decided to replace my engine right at 69,xxx miles!!!!!

I also mentioned my problem in another thread:

hahaha I know!!! Maybe you should drive down to Metro and let Cheryl take care of u!!!

The engine runs great, my MPG goes up to 19. But the engine sound is nosier than my old engine, probably the timing chain. I hate the chain sound!!!!!

sorry bro~

Just be firm and tell them about the sprak plugs problem, I mean the least they should do is to replace your valve cover. That's what I got in the first place.
At first they want to do a oil consumption test before doing anything. Then I talked to the manager I am sure the valve cover was causing the problem, he said it is quite common about it and ordered a new valve cover and gasket. But I am not sure about the dealers in Canada.

oh................I get it now!
then the second row was saying the reason to do so was to change out the plugs the next day.

hahahaha........Lesile, u got me thinking~

this dealership is funny, they actually explained what work was done in paragraph format and in the paragraph they stated they didn't wash or do any detail work to the car. I think I am ok if they actually detail my car~
But they charge you $10 for loaner.............

Got the valve covered replaced by the dealership. However, about the leak at the front plug, the rep said nothing but insisting the valve covered is fixed. So, I will keep monitor and probably change to another dealership in about two months.

while doing the sparks plugs today i found out spark plug #6 was filled and i mean dripping with oil... time to take my baby to the Infiniti dealership and see what they say..
