Oil Leak in Spark Plug Compartment?

would it create steam of smoke when revving the car only? and while idling no smoke though. but if the car was in incline, nose down. would it give steam of smoke(coming out of out exhaust)? or this could be just carbon build up in exhaust or throttle body needs cleaning? thanks

I never had any smoke, I never would have known if I haven't changed the spark plugs.

My gas mileage went up too after I changed plugs and valve covers.

Ed, did you do the install of the new valve covers yourself? If so, can you post up a DIY or some information about this procedure.

Cousin did it. He said the passenger side is very easy, it's the drivers side that takes time.

Sorry, no DIY, maybe Handy_Andy can provide some guidance.

Just wanted to what you experienced if you did the install yourself since we both have 45's. Thanks Ed.

About ready to change the spark plugs on my G35. I'm taking cylinder 6 coil off tomorrow to make sure there is no motor oil pooling in the compartment where the plug is. This issue is common on the G's too not just the 1st gen FX.

If there is oil this could end up costing me $400 for new valve covers and gaskets. The O ring for the plugs is a part of the valve cover so you have to buy a whole new valve cover!! Wish me luck....
