GT Spec Suspension Bracing

hate to beat the dead horse, but do you guys think that the rear lower tie, and lateral brace will fit the invidia q300 exhaust?

If you get the Invidia and install, we can do a test fit. Not sure why this hasn't gotten to me yet. Oh, maybe because you already have those braces? Haha, I will find out soon as I post this.
 
I ordered the braces last week, but upscale/gtspec hasn't shipped them yet. I'm waiting to hear back and see if i can cancel part of my order. I'm thinking the rear lower tie will fit. But dont think the rear lateral brace will fit. I guess what does'nt fit i can try and resell it.
 
nevermind, the gtspec parts are back ordered till june. so i'll order my exhaust, then see what happens. Stu, maybe we can meet up afterward's and compare the gtspec parts to see if they will fit mine. :smile:

Definitely. Only problem is that my rear suspension is being worked on, and the dealership said on the invoice that they were going to repair aftermarket support braces in the quote. Although, I think it just means the price for removing and reinstalling them, because they are fine. They are trying to charge $30 more for the part that needs replacing, as well as refinish a wheel (which I don't want) so we will see how it turns out. I knew I should have just fixed it myself. :rolleyes: But ya, when the exhaust is on, I want to hear it, and we can do a test fit. I think just sliding under the FX and holding it up would be enough to see.

The front mounting points:
- Distance between two fronts looks like 34" as Adam said.
- The mounting point is right beside the y-pipe inlet flange unlike the previous one I marked

The rear mounting points:
- Distance between two rears looks like 34.5" as Adam said as well
- The mounting point is the second nut and the bar would go straightly accross the y-pipe outlet

And the distance between the front and rear are exactly 28" as Adam said and it's fcking hard to take this shot lying on the floor just a couple of inches from the body! :biggrin:

I will call Adam tomorrow and arrange the shipment. Will try to mount it after Thanksgiving and post the results.. I just hope they give a nice initial price but don't mind really if not.. :smile:

That it'd fit but I had to get one and try it out.. Then things changed and I didn't follow up on it.. I had looked on the G-Z forums to see if I could find a used one to test but couldn't find one..
 
Ya, I remember this. Didn't Z1 say you can return it after test fitting, but you just didn't want to spend money on it? I wish I had bought that used one that was like $75.

Hey Adam how are ya?

Just a question.. Do you think that if there is a demand for them, ie a group buy GTspec might be able to get them sooner?? Let me know.. I'll post something up to see if how IS members react to it... I certainly would want this on my FX..
