GT Spec Suspension Bracing

Jeff at it again. Great Guy . . Great price.
This a no brainer, & good job Viet!

Finally joined the club Gil. But I think the jury is still out on fit of the lateral arm brace with after market exhausts. Time to batter up Dave .

personally, I'm not worry... if you think about it, the Nismo exhaust may be a half inch thinker than stock... BUT, radius wise... it's only a quarter of an inch... from the pictures I've seen... the clearance is definitely more than a quarter inch... well, at least that's what I'm hoping... I get mine on Wednesday too, and plan on getting them installed on Thursday.

Nismo brand new 750.

Only if I waited another week. I just picked mine up last thursday at performance nissan, for $1000 out the door. I found a dealer in CT for $799 and mynismo would not meet the price. The price included the extension. Paid another $150 to get it installed.

by the way, what sort of handeling can I expect out of the rear braces?

yeah... West Covina is always running that special... In fact... have they ever sold it at the regular price? I seems like it's always $750... they say it's limited... but that was the case back when I got it... well, actually... I think it was $750 INSTALLED... but still

I was just at WC Nissan, and I also read your old post Ken, the labor is usually $107 and they package all that together in a "special" total price (~$1000) . Its great that they are discounting the exhaust only for $750. I paid a few hundred less but mine was used (good shape).

The bracing seems real nice, I will eventually have to get these. But I really need to slow down a little on mods. :burnout:

This place will do that to you ... Only solution is, you need to stop coming to this joint ......... j/k all ..

you're right... it was $950 installed... but I remember now, I opted to not have them install it (long story), and was discounted even further... came to be less than $800 if I remember correctly.

Back on topic
This should give ye'all more info on clearances.

Didnt get a chance to test drive it yet, so review will come later. Marked the washers, 10 minute Install on a rack. Real no-brainer. THANK YOU! Viet, Pierce & Will for testing & making this happen. :iS: RULES!!!

Nice pics! Plenty of clearance to me. The thing with the FX specific lateral bar and the G/Z bar is the initial angle on the driver side already provides a huge bump in clearance vs using the G/Z bars.

On the lower bar, the bolts are alignment points with an oval shaped washer. Viet mentioned 'bout marking them so they stay in position, so I did it . . . but everything went into place when I bolted the nutter back on.

I know, I remember reading Viet's instructions... but wasn't sure what he meant... I guess I'll see it when the time comes. (hopefully)

Mounting is on alignment points, so if you don't mark the amount of threads exposed, you will be creating your own alignment when you put them back on. If you screw down too much you'll change your camber (it mounts in the camber alignment point right?) or vice versa if you don't screw down enough...

lol... ahhh I'm having a rough time putting it in any other terms...

If you "tighten" or "loosen" these bolts, you push the top of the wheel in towards the body or out away from the body depending on which way you go. Its purpose is not really holding anything secure but rather changing the angle of the wheel. Camber adjustment pulls the top of the wheel towards or away from the body and toe adjustment points the front of the wheel in towards the body or away.

So I just tightened it. Did I create a diff alignment or anything to be concerned or watch for?
