GT Spec Suspension Bracing

Bump for 7/3/08 deadline for original list payments to get to Z1.

Just to be fair with this group buy we will allow for the first 19 people on the already established list from the initial thread to decide whether or not they are still interested in the items or not. We will give them a time frame of 5 days starting today. Which means they have until July 3rd to make a payment or to give up their position on the list. At that point will we update everyone with the status of the current inventory and continue on down the list.

Alright, this might sound stupid but does it come with install instructions? I read Rookie's post in the group buy that we should mark the cam washer position. Is it just a simple remove the bolts, place the tie bars, and rebolt?

Yes!

Remove the nut, do not removed the bolt and cam washers. Place the bar on, washer, and than the nut. Tighten the nut down, while having another wrench/ratchet/socket/spousesteeth on the bolt so the cam washer is like it was when you started.

kapiche?

spouses teeth. good tips.

Man you guys are all over the tech questions!

The bars do not come with instructions but to be honest it would be a waste of paper. The installation is very straight forward as been mentioned here. Loosen nuts, install bars, tighten nuts.

They came in today (UPS:adverse whether) delayed delivery until today. Did the rear 2 bars install with the car on ramps. Used a pipe at the end of my wrench as leverage to get the nuts off and on. Took the FX for a spin and "wow". The first thing I did was at 35 mph is a F1 warm up the tires like motion with the wheel. I do this on occasion and knowing the bars were coming I was doing it more often last week (major body flex) disappointing. I didn't think it was gonna be that much of a change in handling but very very noticeable, big difference.

I would put the GTSpec braces up there with must do most noticeable mods.

Will was right when he told me "yur gonna love them".

Packed nice, better wrapped then when I got my Stillen stb with tape wrapped around the bar....was a bitch to get off.

Looks like plenty of clearance to me for after market exhaust.

I love your setup Gil.
Now we gotta convince you to swap out the fading can in the rear. That should complete the look.

F1 warmup on Proxes all season, huh? lol

Finally joined the club Gil. But I think the jury is still out on fit of the lateral arm brace with after market exhausts. Time to batter up Dave .

I'm really wanting the Nismo just waitin for some kind of deal, kind of like you and Will got.

F1 warmup, not actual but just to try to paint a picture.

Thanks Viet! :top:

I think it's fine. Look at the angles. The closest point on Will's is a in the dipped area on the production bar.
