What went wrong with your FX today?

Wow... Had no idea you could get after market bushings. Well, that's good to know; I guess I can just replace the bushings on my old one

I called Infiniti parts today. They only sell the entire arm assembly. You can get replacement bushings. they need to get pressed in. likely by a shop.
I found some standard bushings on EBAY, but now I'm having thoughts about getting some harder ones for better road feel. Not solid metal, but maybe harder polyurethane.

Maybe Zebra has some. I need to ask . . unless you're reading this?

when my right control arm went bad, that same exact part posted above. My car was always swaying from left to right without any control. I didnt have any clunks or whatsoever.

Hi all, There was a noise coming from my bay when i turn the A/C on...Loud sound like an air leak when i drive at low rpms.
took it to my buddy and he said he could b the a/c clutch pulley bearing or the compressor so we first changed the clutch bearing
to check...No, not that..while he was double checking the other a/c componants, his friend who is a car a/c specialist in T W came by and said the
sound is coming from the compressor...I've had it 10 years btw...He said he can take it off and see if it can be rebuilt as i can only get oem new compressors here and they r friggin costly...Chinese new year now so i have 2 wait till the 15th...Anyone know what componants they change when
they rebuild a compressor...solenoid and oil i know...anything else? i forgot to ask but he did say he couldnt 100% gurantee the noise will go away after a rebuilt...Worth a try i guess..Any suggestions or ideas? tks

the spring/latch that keeps my cupholder cover down broke, so the cover does not stay down... part ordered ;)

The FX don't start all weekend long.. it was around -35 celcius but something wrong with either starter, or battery

Did a test on the battery, it's in good condition.. so I don't know what the hell is going on..

Passenger side door would not close in -36c weather. I had to lock/unlock the doors a few times before door closed... I'm gonna blame the cold, cuz my jacket wasnt working either

Take your jacket in to the dealer. Obvious warranty issue...

Damnit. Got off the on ramp near my house and the CEL came on. Didnt even pay attention to the temp gauge at this point. got off and car immediately went into limp mode, wouldnt go last 1k rpm and wouldnt leave 1st gear. I was holding up traffic so i pulled in to a dead end and i saw my temp gauge at high and there i smelled coolant... had it towed to my mechanic and shes gone for tonight. i washed the hell out of my car yesterday too...

mistake for not checking the temp right away. That's the first thing you need to check. If need be shut the car off right away in the middle of the road, put hazards on and push it to the side in neutral. That's what me and my friend did when his radiator blew. His engine was worth more to us than making someone wait 6min while we pushed the car off the road.

Anyone need to replace their g sensor? The dealership ran the scan with their OBDII and they told me it was related to the AWD G Sensor on my 2006 AWD Infiniti FX35. I brought it in because the SLIP, VDC, and ABS lights are on after I switched from my winter tires to my summer tires. With my winter tires on I did not have issues. Is this coincidence? I don't know. The part number the dealership said I need to replace is part # 47930CL80A. They said to replace and installation would be $2400!! How hard is it to replace the g sensor on a 2006? The dealership said they rarely see this issue. Great!

I've double checked the brake fluid level and topped it off, so that isn't the reason. I replaced rotors and brake pads about 3 months ago.

Probably not too hard to change, looks like from the drawing it would be below the center console

I read up on the G35 driver about this and they disable these sensors so they completely disengage VCD. Maybe you can find something there on how to replace it yourself. But they sure are expensive, 1100$-ish or so. Maybe someone on this site can get you one for cheaper.

Well. Did a pressure check and the radiator was SHOT. Got a new radiator in and now shes running mint!!! I feels good to have her back after one day lol

Are you sure it isn't just a bad speed sensor??? Dealer will tell you one thing and charge you an arm and a leg when it's really something simple. I would put a code reader on it and make sure first.
