While driving home today, I heard some nasty crunching noise like something was moving on my suspension parts from the driver's side. I was about 50miles from home. I pulled over checked my struts, shocks and CO and did a visual on the wheels but did not find anything wrong. The underbelly pan was secured so no indication of any issues there. When I arrived home, I jacked up the car and checked carefully all suspension parts and found the culprit. I think a lug nut or two on my driver's side came a little bit loose causing a little bit of a play. I was about to remove the lug nuts when the flimsy McGuard wheel lock key split open.

So the FX is going to be grounded till I will purchase a replacement.

Help my turn signal will only blink twice, then no signal. I may have to go old old old school ( arm outside my window to signal up for right turn and horizontal for left.

Look what I discovered last night. Its the front propreller drive shaft.

Wow, you are fortunate it didn't totally let go when under load.

One of the HID bulbs starting turning purple. I brought it back to the dealer and replaced under extended warranty. Good as new now!

Yeah, I guess I was pretty fortunate to spot that. Can't imagine what's left if it broke loose. Not sure what may have caused it to break like that. I notice some light vibration while driving and I thought it maybe the tires or the brake pads seized. I already ordered one from Rockauto. Will put a DIY together.

Damn, you're lucky Andy. That could have been very bad.

Make sure all your door actuators work because if one of them is bad the trunk won't work either.

Broke my rear wiper blade, was stuck in ice :(

I'll do a search i've seen thread for DIY replacement somewhere on IS :)

Driving down the highway and my FX felt like it was sliding all over the place.. as if I was hydroplaning, but on dry land.
Turns out my lower control arm bushing is worn on the driver side. Replaced for ~$500+tax *sigh*

Did you have any symptoms prior? Some nasty noise from under the vehicle

Funny you say that.. this morning when I was backing out of my driveway, I heard some small clunks from my front driver side. It went away as I went forward.. first time hearing that.

When I got on the highway and hit 60, my steering began to somewhat wobble slightly, yet slowly. At one point, I was going straight and the steering wheel was slightly crooked and it confused me. It was as if a huge gust of was blowing my car, although the weather outside was fair.

I began to slow down, but when I applied the brakes it got worse. I felt like I was on a boat, to be honest. Lol.
It's hard to explain how the side to side movement felt, but it was scary because I didn't have that much control of my car. When I pulled over and did a U-Turn to head straight to brake check, the car still began have that slight death wobble back to the shop. They checked it and showed me that my contral arm bushing was busted.. lots of play. and that my inner tie rods will also need to be replaced. I'll be doing the inner tie rods myself, and might as well do the outers. But, I had them replace the driver side lower control arm, since our cars don't serviceable bushings.

I have the old control arm in my car, so when I get home from campus, I'll send a pic

Mine's starting to fail too! Making noises
Driver side lower arm bushing. I will be replacing bushings only. Aftermarket parts.
Car is steady though, & it's the front smaller one that appears bad.
