What went wrong with your FX today?

Yeah but the control arms are still protected by the suspension with a small degree of dampening occurring at the tires. I've never heard of anyone damaging them from hitting anything aside from aside from a collision. Not only that, but you managed to drive home after hitting the pothole on a set of 24s.

That's amazing.

Yeah, like I said, that's my best guess on what damaged them, surely it wasn't a front end collision. I made it home but all four of my 24's are finished, like not even worth fixing finished.

about $1800..

Close enough....... a little more than that though.

Driving on the westside highway and all of a sudden green fluid sprayed onto the hood and windshield. Managed to cut across all 3 lanes at 2 miles and hour alive to find antifreeze all on the ground. Had it towed to my mechanic and his exact words were catastrophic crack on the radiator with no fluid left in it. Whoa. He told me i was lucky i did not blow the engine. $700 dollars later back on the road. Thx Infiniti. SMH

Had to replace drivers side CV joint last week as it was spraying grease all over exhaust and smoking. Did that and noticed that drivers side BC coilover probably needs to be rebuilt. There is oil seeping from adjustment knob which is intermittently jammed.

And have to change the oil soon so will have to probably replace bolts on aluminum belly pan oil door. I've smashed both of them pretty badly from scraping and a wrench doesn't actually fit on the heads anymore. If I don't swap them, I'm afraid I'll lose the entire bolt head and the door itself while driving. Not a huge deal, but annoying.

Shadow,
On your BCs...how low do you have the car dropped that you scrape so much? Would it not be better to raise it up a bit more for more clearance??

It's pretty much as low as it goes and my tires are smaller diameter than stock by about 1.5" so my fender to ground height is ~29" or so. This is the belly pan clearance. I could raise it, but then my wheel/tire setup would look silly. I don't hit scrape that much stuff so I just deal with it. It's not super practical, but I do drive it every day in the city. It's just for looks; I gave up on making the FX fast so I went for the most aggressive stance I could. Belly pan is maybe 3" off the ground.

Has anyone had their button for the seat heater fall through (right side)? there is a hole, but I see it hanging by a wire. Can this be fixed without taking out the metal piece surrounding it? Thanks.

You have to take the center console cover/panel out and push it back onto the clips that hols it in place. Hope the clips has not cracked up.

Does it lift off with a flat screwdriver or do I need a Phillips type to unscrew hidden bolts?

The console just pops out...you can pull it up by grabbing the cup holder and pulling up....or using plastic trim tools.
If you do use a screwdriver just be careful not to scratch the console.

Hopefully it gets covered, but if you never noticed it until you got home you could be out of luck.
