What went wrong with your FX today?

Had a headlight go out tonight.
Are these still the brightest replacement bulbs?

Great. After changing rear wheel bearings and pads..
I go try out the break-in brake pad procedure, the driver side brakes starts smoking and I see liquid all over the caliper and, of course, smoke.
 
^I think I happened to buy a counterfeit from a UK seller from ebay. It went out only less than a year. I chased the vendor and got a refund after returning the bulbs.
 
Yes saw allot of counterfeits (made in China)on eBay but the ones I ordered were from Germany.
At 100.00ea the CBH's are a little steep at twice the cost.
You asked if the cbi's were the brightest... Nope not anymore... Cbh!

You didn't happen to ask the if the cost/value was worth it over the cbi's. [emoji12]

Arrrggggggg replaced the bulbs and drivers side is still out. Looks like a bad ballast?
 
Lowered my car more yesterday. Adjusted preload higher and stiffened up dampening. Im rubbing going up every driveway in the front. I broke some clips and a screw. Has anyone done fender work on 2nd gen and know exactly what I need to do? I want to widen my stance, but not happening until I do something with my fenders.

Does the right side of the seal on this caliper piston look a bit off to any of you guys? When I was doing a brake pad bedding procedure, I smelled burning brake fluid only on this caliper and there were no leaks on the line and bleeder.. Looks like it came from the piston.

I mightve messed up when I pushed the piston back in with a spreader without opening the bleeder valve?

Driving home from work today, I could hear this loud rattling noise. Looked under my fx to check and saw nothing. As I pulled off I heard it again. So now I get out to do a 360° my custom nismo exhaust tips is barely holding on by the hair on its chinny chin chin. But it's so rusted it was just dragging. So now it looks as if I have a single exit exhaust. Fml

I never open the bleeder valve when I do this, I just do it very slowly and I never had issues. If it's not leaking I would say you're fine.

Oddly enough, I guess it is fine. One thing I noticed is one of the caliper pin coots had a tear in it, so I just replaced both boots on that caliper and all was well after disassembling and assembling it back?

Problem with our fender setups is there really isnt a way to 'roll' them like on most cars. On the first gen I trimmed my inner fender and the bottom of the plastic molding to clear my GTR wheels + low eibach springs. Look at how the plastic attaches to the fender - can't really alter it too much without losing the ability to snap in the plastic molding.
 
Trying to change out my inner tie rods but even with the inner tie rod tools and adapter.. it doesn't budge, instead the steering gear just moves with it. Giving up and letting brake check take care of it
