What other cars did you consider buying before the FX?

Started out looking at vettes but realized I needed more space and practicality so I moved on the the Audi Q5 and FX. I ended up with the FX soon after.

I just read through the first page but its funny how the Acura TL also seems to be popular for FX owners! It was on my list too!

I had been thinking of getting a newer car for almost a year now. This is the order from first to FX - the idea of an SUV only came to mind about 2 weeks before i bit the bullet on the new car.. I already knew i was going to go with an FX cause i always admired them when i saw them, but i did also look into the Cayenne, Range Rover, and Lexus suvs.

-Evo XII
-Corvette FRC
-05+ Acura TL
-Then at the last second decided for an SUV so traveling with my dog (and at the time GF who also had a big dog) would be convenient.

I actually came from Acura TL. Had a 1999 TL, and a 2005 TL, one was winter car, other was summer and modding car. But had to sell, and I almost got back into it, but I took up winter sports, and like going to the mountains, and it's snow and shit weather where I live so driving a lowered TL again wasn't appealing so I got a FX

You know what, weather hadnt come to mind when i got the FX. Now that you mention it though it os going to be great during rain/hurricane season in S.fl. sure beats going through a flooded area in a honda accord or mustang!

I wanted Mitsubishi Evolution or WRX Sti... got FX because my ex-wife pushed for family-friendly car... maybe that's why she is ex, and I am modding my FX....

I've owned many cars as I get really bored of my cars quickly, I have owned 2wrx's and 1 sti! By far my favorite cars I've owned but when you start modding a subaru expect catastrophic problems eventually! I also had a thing for turbo trucks, I've owned all 3, 00 7.3 powerstroke, bullet proof but couldn't afford to keep fuel in the tank. 03 lb7 duramax, huge headache with injectors and my most previous right before I bought my fx was an 05 cummins long bed, Wow is all I have to say! That thing gave me 20+ mpg any where I went but it was soo big and I live in a neighborhood where most people are retired and I leave for work at 4:50 am and my neighbors frowned upon it as it was soo loud and large. I'm happy with the fx but I do miss my turbo cars/trucks

You must notice a big difference going from full size diesel pickups to an FX.

M35X or M45X but decided to go for good looking SUV.

Have a 2006 Q45 Prem / Sport and needed something that handled snow.

There's pros and cons to both, I love parking in the garage in the winter months and with the trucks I had to scrape and warm them up for a while every morning as they wouldn't fit in my tiny 2 car garage, also with trucks and living in the Midwest the salt creates soo much rust and I hate rust! But at the same time I could just about throw anything in the bed or on the trailer and not think twice about it being too heavy! For now I love the fx, I've always liked them and the way they purr. I had new tires put on about 2 weeks ago and the guy who pulled it out and drove it up front said it was the best sounding SUV he'd ever heard!

I wanted to buy an Audi SUV (forgot the name of it) but heard some stories about how it breaks down more frequently so I decided to stay within Infiniti (my old car)

I was also looking at the BMW X6, but I'm in Phoenix and almost everyone drives a BMW here... there are quite a few Infiniti, but not FX and I like to be in a smaller group of cooler vehicles!

X5 Porsche range was my first choice but already had a caddi too much gas lol after my intake and exhaust I am at the same mpg as a range still no regrets range wouldn't be able to handle the way I drive
