What other cars did you consider buying before the FX?

I considered a Cadillac STS-V but liked the style and the interior of the M45x better. I also preferred AWD over RWD in the winter. We get LOTS of snow here !
 
When i started off i wanted the FX but i couldn't find exactly what i wanted so i started to look at the Mazda6 2009^, Acura TL/TSX & lastly before i actually came into my FX i drove the 2008 G35x. The FX fell into my lap a couple of days after the 35 so i was pretty excited about that lol especially bc i wasn't too happy about the sandy color of the 35. But yea, overall i found something close enough to what i wanted so thats cool lol
 
I will be picking up my fisrt Infinity today. FX35. I also considered the Murano, ML500, Edge, and X5. The FX35 just had a really cool feel to it. The ML500 was probably a bit faster and the X5 seemed to corner a touch better but this seems to be the best of both.
 
We looked at all the SUVs and narrowed down after test drives. We narrowed down to the MDX and FX, in 2004 they were $50 apart similarly equipped. The FX had it all over the MDX in the end.
 
Oh, also don't call your FX as "truck". :tongue:

It will handles much better with a couple GTSPEC braces. :wink:

You'll love it, my favorite vehicle i've ever owned. Great thing is a few inexpensive mods can give the FX better handling and better performance including better mpg
 
Orginally wanted an SRT8...couldnt fine one I wanted. Then wanted the 45 but couldn't find the right one either...found an 06 35 in the right color combo and fully loaded with only 18k miles and 3yrs old...couldnt pass it up and it worked out the way it was supposed to...couldnt be happier :)

So far I am digging it. When i was younger I had a 1991 SHO Plus that was awesome. To date that is my favorite car. Maybe after a bit this one can take the top spot.
 
I consider the MDX. BMW X5, MERCEDES GL 450, BMW X6.

I looked for 4 months after my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen and then totaled. I bought it new and it was my only vehicle for almost 12 years. I loved that truck, took amazing care of her, and she only had 54,575 when stolen. So needless to say I had a hard time deciding what I really wanted. I was set in my thinking that I wanted a real 4x4 which with new vehicle's narrowed my choices considerably. It was a new Jeep Grand Cherokee or a used Land Rover Range Rover.
I rented a a Grand Cherokee for a week and that was the end of that. The Rover was an extremely difficult vehicle to trust used in the North East as it is filled with scammers and I got feed up.
So after all this I really sat down and looked at a calendar and tracked all the times in the last few years I used the full time 4wd. Other than driving on the beach I really didn't so I opened up the search to AWD suv. I went to check out an 08 FX45 at a dealer and it had sold the day before. There was a 2010 CPO that I decided to test drive, that was the end of that. Now I just have to find an old CJ to turn into a beach buggy.
I know I made the right decision cause the insurance company finally settled with me after a 4 month battle 3 days after I bought the FX. I received what I was looking for cash wise for the Pathy, but it was difficult getting a valuation on an 2002 with 54,575 miles. The recall due to the strut tower issues didn't help as there are not many left in the NE after the buyback program from Nissan NA. I also had better car replacement so they were to pay me on the value of an 2003 with 39,575, couldn't find one of those for sale in the USA let alone e within 50 miles of my zip code.
It all worked out in the end, I have gotten a better car than I was looking for, and paid out satisfactorily from the insurance. Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it!!
 
None really made the list. I had been in a Ford Explorer for 30+ years and was done with those. Seen a few of the FX's running around and always thought it was a great looking car. Took a test drive and that was it. I was hooked. I did take a brief look at the Lexus RX and the Land Rover but they just doesnt stand up to my FX
 
We looked at a couple different cars. Mainly the MDX and the RX330 but settled with the FX35. We really wanted a gen 2 FX but was out of the budget.
