What other cars did you consider buying before the FX?

How did you come to an A7 or FX? What was the decision process there

I don't know too much about audi except what I hear and seen. Never owned one. I briefly looked the too but didn't test drive. Just curious as to hear comparisons

I was confused in between the BMW x5 lexus rx and Infiniti fx. I kicked the lexus out right away bc it was so ugly. The BMW was out of my budget so I decided to get the fx. And now I love my car!!!
 
1st choice: I've always wanted a Supra, but would be too scared for it to be by only car.
2nd choice: 335i, 6 speed, e90 sedan. Then the F30 335i came out, so I might be saving up for that.
3rd choice: GTI/R32 : One is FWD, and the other isn't as fast as I thought. (I did valet parking for 2 years, I drove almost every non supercar out there)
4th choice: Audi A3. I just love the styling, but it was FWD and the 2.0T was laggier than the GTI.
5th choice: Wrx/Sti. Couldn't afford a good one.
There were many more, but those were the top.

Seriously though? A7 is pure sex. Period.
 
I was going to the BMW dealership with a set mind on picking up an X5... The salesman thought I just wanted to take some out for a spin, and didn't take me seriously (or it could've been the fact that I pulled in a Mazda 3, haha). After my disappointment in their service, I literally walked across to the Infiniti dealership, and there was a silver FX50s waiting to go to a good home. After a quick zip around some salesman preferred (police free) streets, BOOM. She was mine in a week. Best decision I have made in 30 minutes or less, haha.

i traded an e90 (330I) for my FX. Loved that car....it was the favorite of the 17+ cars that I've owned. (Was worried about the maintenance of the 335!)

The A7 is pure sex......the price is pure madness though.
 
When it's time to replace the FX, I'd definitely consider an A7 or S7. But likely a Panamera since my wife has her heart set on one. My logic is that the FX seats 5 people and doesn't have that much luggage space. It's basically a tall wagon. So it is more of a car than an SUV and I won't lose any functionality by going back to a car. Really it's not more practical than any 4 door sedan.

If I had to get an SUV, I'd get an X5M hands down. Friend got one and it's ridiculous stock, w/ a tune and supporting mods, it's 700hp.

Heavily considered a 2010-2012 Audi S4, but I've never owned a German car and I don't think I am up for dealing with that type of thing just yet - everyone I know who had/has one hates it because they're so expensive to maintain (I'm told). I'm not looking for any headaches with treading unfamiliar waters.

I also considered a 2010+ FX but I've always loved the first gen way better, and I feel now is finally the time to get one.

This will by my 3rd Infiniti.
