What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I found the copy of my invoice and talked to R1 today about the rotor order mistake - turns out it was their mistake. #relieved They are taking care of it and I should have my correct rotors on Sat. Shooting for a rotor, pad, braided brake line, caliper paint, brake fluid, wheel stud, and spacer install on Sat. Hopefully I don't get rained out... :bur2:

Sucks you are down south. My office garage sits vacant all weekend long.

My beast decided to die on me on Monday. Turns out it was just the battery. So got a new one with more power to support the AMP. Fired up with a growl!!

You need to remove the shift knob by slide shift boot down, you will see a silver u-shaped spring clip, pull it out and lift the shift knob off. Oh, not sure if it the case with the >06 console, but for the <06, I have to shift it in neutral for easy of taking the console out as the >06 console has a curve one pice top the bottom of the clock. Then start at on corner and pull straight up motion. Its all snap in my pressure clips.

Center console top pries up. Use a thin flat screwdriver between the two aluminum pieces. Then disconnect wires. Take clock part out first

extended studs? why not plug and play, not enough room behind the wheel?

I have stud paranoia. Something about running spacers on the oem studs gnaws at my psyche. The new studs are from ARP and only come in one length, which is very much extended (it's a WRX application).

Thanks buddy. I'll be thinking about your nice dry and empty garage tomorrow while I'm paddling up and down my driveway. :tongue (2):

Well i ATTEMPTED to get all of the Carbon Fiber wrap on. But could not for the life of me get the piece where the clock is. So for now it looks goofy! thought you would enjoy the pictures of it anyways

To make a medium story short... i bumped the pin for the shifter knob off and is now nowhere to be seen somewhere on my floor of the car! Ughh

I did the same thing about a year ago, haven't found it since... I think I'll just swipe the one from Jonas' car on the next meet.

Looks great btw Andrew!

I didnt drive on em. Just put on one rear wheel to see how much it sticks out. I also have to replace the studs on he fronts when I install sPacers sO I'm planning to tackle all that during springs install. Btw they dont stick out that much. Maybe 1/4". Should be flush after cambering in with the springs. They're used so already settled. Btw how bad is the camber on the back with H&Rs? Do the tires last a while?

You won't even notice the wear boss, it will be VERY close to being W/I factory camber range.

Looking good Andrew.

Hey nick, what ended up happening with the seller that didnt tell you that the GTR's were repainted a couple times...get some of your money back and stuff?

He told me he mentioned that they were hyper silver in his "original post" that I never found. Ended up refunding me $250 to refinish the two scraped up wheels. I ended up powdercoating all 4 though to match them all

Wow is that aggressive, is that without a spacer? Didn't know the offset was that far from OEM.
Nope, no spacer. Ill be running a 20mm on the front though to flush them out. hope the rears will flush out too once the springs go on. That would make me uber happy. :tongue (2):
