What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Well today it was soooo nice I gave the FX a quick wash then took a short run to the beach, there was no one on the beach for miles.
Love the pictures! I would have been so tempted to do donuts! Did you have fun in the sand!?

Thanks guys, the beach is called Sauble Beach, it is about 45 minutes north of where I live in Kincardine, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron. This beach is over 7 miles long.
Yes, later on I did try doing a few donuts in a secluded part of the beach, it's pretty hard to do in the sand with the awd system even with vdc switched off.

finally got the stupid dealer sticker off the back. Also got my emissions test done and out of the way
I received my rotors from R1 today. I immediately noticed that one of the two boxes was smaller and about twice the weight of the other. Upon opening them I found one set of Premium slotted rotors (as ordered) and another set of all black slotted rotors. Like the entire rotor is coated black, pad surface and all. Ugh. Not only that but for the life of me I can't find a copy of the order. Ugh^2. I'm planning on giving them a call tomorrow to see whether it was them or me that f-ed up the order. Luckily my spacers haven't arrived yet, so the rotors aren't holding up my install. So I have that going for me.....which is nice.

to keep it topic related... four wheel alignment, wheels/tires balanced and rotated... brake pads checked out but still annoyingly squeaky. back to that smooove ride with the squeaky brakes!

Lance , hang in there good buddy, wish you a speedy recovery. How's those meds treating you, sounds like they are taking the edge off.
Thanks Wayne. Hah, talk about taking the edge off....took them for the pain until I puked then went cold turkey. Laid off everything Monday (have to stay on the Antibiotics as I have stuff living in my foot still) Feel so much better today. I have NO idea how anybody can get hooked on OXY anything man.
On a positive note my CAM's are close to "in" and the engine cover mounts have been cut off (so everything can be rerouted around that beautiful bit of intake runner mastery) The header build took a hit when my tech discovery that the header flanges had been water jet cut at 95% of size. They are re-cutting them now......Man, you try something new

I am in the process of attempting to put the 3M dinoc wrap on! The first one came out mediocre, but I feel it will go up from here! ... I hope. What is the best way to get the main counsel part off (cup holder part/clock part)
I found the copy of my invoice and talked to R1 today about the rotor order mistake - turns out it was their mistake. #relieved They are taking care of it and I should have my correct rotors on Sat. Shooting for a rotor, pad, braided brake line, caliper paint, brake fluid, wheel stud, and spacer install on Sat. Hopefully I don't get rained out... :bur2:
Progress on the carbon fiber wrap. Came out decent.
+1 haha but yea that was pretty easy, first one had a chunk of access wrap but it got better. Still not 100% how to get the center console out though?
