What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Car is still at dealership.

Replacing seat belt and assembly for driver's seat (under warranty!) Being a 2003 and 130k miles, I am happy. It was slow to retract, even after cleaning it.

Sanitizing the AC/Heating ducts? No idea. Whatever it is, I either will be happy or wasted $99. It was $60 btw to install a new cabin filter (labor and part). I said no thanks. I think I bought one from China for $5.00 shipped -- FROM China (i.e. shipped from China).

That is all. Been riding a G37x, pretty neat. V6's are loud. Very responsive.
 
Did the cabin filter yesterday, it's a breeze with Jeff's DIY. In SJ they tried to sell that to me also, I told him I can get one for $15 and do it myself.

I just got my tires swapped side to side since I can't move the wheels on account of staggered and unidirectional.
 
Waxed the fx again. I gotta stop lol. Anytime i drive it and i come home, i start cleaning it. I must have an ocd of cleaning lol. =\. I must wax the fx like 3-4 times a week.

Nothing wrong with putting on some solid layers of wax. I wish I could clean mine up but it's just so hot I might do harm than good.
 
Yeah I just went to Autozone. I don't do well waiting for things to come in the mail. Next time though I'll get one of those.

I've been having the seat belt issue too. I kept closing my door on it everyday. Did you take it to Berman's Infiniti?

No way, I make the effort to go to Field's Infiniti. They take care of me there.

Berman's would have charged me for it without a doubt.

Field's Infiniti screwed up my FX several times. My first couple visit were good then went down hill from there.

1. Curb Rash my Wheels
2. Dropped a tool on the Driver side fender (I was out of the FX for a week )
Plus, the body shop did a poor job after three tries. This is one of the reason I took it to the body shop to have the fenders and bumper redone.
3. Idiot Mechanic poke a hole in the driverside leatherseat with a screw driver in his back pocket.
4. They put on my Spacers before several time then all of a sudden it became a problem. (Berman's no hassle putting on spacers)
5. Had two brake jobs done in one year because someone forgot some brake parts that go on the pads etc( Forgot what its called), but they made me paid for it, when it was clearly their fault.
6. They put on my Aftermarket wheels without the wheel ring adaptors that go on the hub. The FX was shaking like crazy at 45mph they apologize several times for sending out like that.

The list goes on... i'm very cool with the shop guys at Bermans and they treat the FX with respect in my opinion.

Much nicer cafe area as well... yum yum... But Berman's is 2 min away from me.

I always thought fields was the most expensive just in general for everything? (car prices, parts, labor, etc)

+1 on the cafe though haha its very nice

I usually drive out to hoffman or lisle infinti...no complaints there, good service
 
spotted another FX. My buddy was parked next to it waiting for me. I told him to find a new parking spot. After making him get back in the car and move it, I parked next to the black FX hoping that he would spot my iS stickers and get on the forum. I was at buffalo wild wings in Willow Springs off of I-55 and kingery all night. Too bad it wasn't Aaron next to me :frown:

Woke up early to avoid most of the sun and heat to do a clay, wash, and wax. I just need to finish the waxing part. I actually used a leaf blower to dry it off, which I have mixed feelings about. Might be best to do a quick once over with that, and then finally towel dry. Too many small water spots right now.
 
Finally got around to putting the 22"s on and getting the oil changed. Next project is to finish swapping/painting the interior pieces black to match the seude headliner. Unfortunately it's been a year and I still haven't gotten around to it.
