What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Reset the ECU and let it relearn.

**Edit.. Read that wrong, thought you said plenum spacer. I really did not notice a difference either when I installed my TB spacer.

Had the day off today so I decided to paint the end caps and center crossbars of my roof rack body color. Freshened up the blk too. Was wanting to get the OEM aluminum ones, but was shocked to find out that they were over a THOUSAND dollars for each side! Crazy expensive! I'm happy with the look and didn't cost much, just a lot of labor. Taking them apart is much easier then careful re-assembly.

Did you notice a diff. in sound? or did it make a sound when acc. or reving?

With the tb spacer, no difference in sound or performance that I noticed. Do you have a plenum spacer installed?

RWD is fun. I feel for you guys who have it permanently; Such constant self restraint... On a 5 degree incline with vdc off, I got well into third gear drifting the back a foot or so side to side before catching traction. I probably wet sanded 5K miles off the tires in one trip to Home Depot. With vdc on in a straight line it's surprisingly similar to awd; No slip and smooth takeoff. Around corners however the tires will spin a bunch before vdc steps in.

It did not feel faster or slower at any speed or in any circumstance.

All in all I may do it again sometimes but I'm not going to install any switches. It's a cool novelty but I much prefer atessa in it's full capacity for daily driving. It makes me feel safer. :dontknow:

Solid commentary. Any vids of the wet sanding incident?

Hey Tim, is it time to bust out the bleach?

I was too nervous to film it. One hand on the wheel and one hand on the shifter. I haven't replaced the fuse yet though and that spot isn't too far from my place. The shift kit is key in spinning it into 3rd gear.

I traveled a good 40 feet during the epic burnout. Without blocking the tires I don't think the bleach trick would work. :frown:
