VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

True dat. Custom built by a porsche racing fabricator. Most of his work is done for GT3's. at one time he considered a header GB not sure where he is with that now as just bought out his shop.

No AWD tune date yet with new guy but FX is still running strong, it pulls hard and just keeps pulling......makes you want to mash the peddle but knowing you can you don't. Service engine soon light came on at 36K. MPG is still down a hair, I am hoping the tune can dial that in a bit better. Exhaust note hasn't changed or gotten louder. Still really enjoying having it back =)

not sure if you're guys realize this, but on the FX it is perfectly safe to disconnect the center diff lockup connector or pull the fuse and run the FX on a standard RWD dyno, you don't really need an AWD dyno at all

Word. I drove mine like that for weeks a couple years ago for kicks, hooligan style, with no ill effects to date...

Good point John, I remember the AWD disconnect thread but hadn't considered that the dyno would read all power transfer correctly. Calling my guy today, sure would be helpful to not have to hunt down a loaner AWD dyno. BRW- It's not so much finding a dyno as it is the tuner community and that the tiner techs get bashed by each others clients online, makes for an odd competitive environment.

thanks, man I need a better sound clip!

I forgot about the fuse, I think most were cautious about pulling it. Someone pulled the fuse to chirp tires I think. What fuse was it?

I just pinged John via PM but I think its better keep this opened up for the community. My question for John was "once the fuse is pulled does ALL the power go to the rear wheels?" My tuner and my tech were going back and forth on it and they have the same question with regards to power transfer. The tune will only be effective if all the power being generated is monitored and dialed in.
