Man Lance, I just was catching up on all my threads and this one is painful to read. I hope you get everything squared away we are all pulling for your success.

dude, wow.. just as we all get our hopes up, another downer.. honestly tho, this is how it always works.. 3 wrongs have to happen to make one big right.. back in the hay-day i was in the honda scene and built an ls/vtech and did the swap.. redid the whole motor (block n head) with a cpl of my friends and dealt with similar situations.. sucks but the payout is great and ultimately u will enjoy it so much.. keep ur head up!

Thanks for all the support guys. Not out of drive but running thin on patience and cash. What really kills me is I was expecting to be spending my mod dollars on other things at this point.....

I also feel badly for Charles guy as he has invested so much of his time in this project.

Thanks Ojay, I appreciate the support =) This project was actually done months ago but there has been a "fly in the ointment" as they say......I have learned a lot and added more to the list as we have moved forward, but whatever the issue is it keeps hammering away at our progress.

How is your new ride man? Been modding it up?

Yeah just put the wheels on it getting some 22's to fit took a lot of patience and time as offset and wheel clearance came into play. so my set is 255 30 22 up front and 295 25 22 in the rear!!! waiting on some coilovers and and a fender roll for the rear!! wald body kit next year and maybe a few other things but modding this 460 is expensive as everything is jdm, hopefully we can meet up my weekends have been busy working working. but hang in there man. Might convince the girlfriend to get a fx as I truly miss it..

Remember Humberto went through 2 vk56's trying to do an engine swap....and failed. He's up there with you guys.

Yeah, Bert did get burned on his two builds. I really wish I knew exactly what happened on that process, from Install to bomb stage. I did buy the one VK56 but never made it to hook up stage. Anyone need a VK56? =) low miles $2,200.00......

Parts have been in JWT's hands since Monday no determination yet as to how this will be handled. Growing concerned over this six month+ deadline for a number of reasons:

1. Just took a new position with the parent company which is 20 miles away
2. Just paid my insurance and thought hey, I haven't driven for the last six months (six months insurance down the tube)
3. Going to lose my loaner car (which I just paid my friend $500 bucks to use for the last 2.5 months)

My frustration is continuing to grow over what was a simple build breather mods and cams. I really don't know how to explain this to anyone anymore, it not like went with a complex build like FI.....

Apologies for venting.

Always bumps in the road for pioneers. Just keep thinking about that final outcome, and it will all be worth it!

Might be time to think about a beater/project car ala jumbo. I'm thinking an e39 M5 would fit the bill.

Vent all you want, Lance. I certainly understand your frustration, I would be frustrated too in your situation. Nothing is ever simple if you are trying to be a pioneer of new methods and avenues. You have certainly gotten this far, don't give up just yet. Hopefully JWT will come up with a working solution for you in the next few weeks.

man, I kept insurance on my fx for over a year and a half after it was down for the count... still carried the I key with me every day too :) call it denial or whatever you want but yeah it sucks and time waits for no FX, sorry man... sounds like you may need to pick up a cheap car at this point... sucks

Update - JWT is still going over parts, shipping more engine pieces down for additional inspection. Charles says they are spending a lot of time on the breakdown this go round - Third meltdowns a charm? =)

[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial] JWT has even sent some microscopic pictures of the valves. Most of the valves had damage and slight cracks. Jim Wolf has said that JWT will at least offer up some parts for the forth build I'd still like an engine we'll see what happens. Charles is thinking that if he can find a good short block maybe they will assemble the heads so he can just bolt them together. Jim will also see if they can source a new engine.

Jim has not said he will not help as he would rather the FX run with the cams but there is still some mystery as to exactly what is going on here.

The good thing is JWT seems to be willing to stand behind the build and their product.

Never ending saga. Round 4?
