Sorry guys. I've been MIA for a few days. My 94 yo granny had a stroke and I been busy with the hospital. She ok now and back home.

Hey laFX35,
Ni ce job...did you use OEM transmission fluid? Or is there something better you used and where did you get it?

Thanks man. OEM fluid as Chedman mentioned.

Must...resist...

Come on. You're welcome for a test drive if you come down to Chicago while you visting family in MI.

At a $200-$250, this seems like great mod if you do the install yourself.
It is a great mod! $250 part + $80 ATF. So plan the install around ATF change would save some $.

It's only takes about 5 hrs and about $330 if you DIY.

Very impressed, great write up and pics!
Thanks man.
Andrew used to be shiftless.

HEYoooooooo!

The Crawford plenum was top of my list until the Transgo shift kit.

94?!! Hope she's ok man, you are lucky to have her.
Yup 94 (95 in a few months). She's holding out really good and taking care her dailies all by herself still. Man, I sure hope to be as healthy as her when I turn 94.
IS feel like family to me. We talk about anything like a family would. We touch on adorable baby arrival to granny's health to the departure of the world most wanted.

WOW. That old and still taking care of daily activities? Hope the best, sounds like she's a tough one.

Just wanted to share some information, and some comical reading on Nissan Transmission Fluid:

"Matic J was part number 999MP-MTJ00P and Matic S is just 999MP-MTS00P. It is the same price so don't freak out. The big differences between them are Matic S has better heat resistence and break downs less and is more durable, it is apparently nearly the same viscosity."

Good info Ed. Glad to hear the Matic S has better heat resistance, less break down and more durable. The tranny is a sensitive and expensive part to mess with. I would pay a little more and stick with Nissan branded fluid.
