Do the screens actually get dirty? I was planning on cleaning the screen and a drain and fill. I guess I might as well do a full transgo shift kit since I would already be in the area.
Just installed this kit yesterday and it feels great. Couple questions tho. For those of you that have this kit, in manual mode it seems to shift harder going from 2nd to 3rd than any other shift point. Anyone else notice this? Also, after I put everything back together, I refilled the tranny flud with about 7 1/2 quarts since that's what came out. But when I checked the fluid afterwards, it was over the full mark. Should I drain some? Or leave it as is? What's the worst that can happen if there's a little too much fluid in there? Thanks guys!
I did everything as written in the transgo instruction booklet except one of the springs, I put the regular colored one in except the white one. It said in the manual you're supposed to put either the white or the regular colored one depending on which transmission you had. The only difference i saw was the length and the white one was a little longer than the regular colored one or the original, and I had a hard time getting either one in, so went with the regular color. During normal shifting, everything is smooth but just when I get on it a little in manual mode it shifts a little harder than the other gears. haven't really redlined as I want to break it in a little more.
Just take your time. The end result is awesome![]()

:eek.: Ooh my, I didn't realize that spring should have left out. No wonder, I was like what are you talking about ? I when and check the springs & valve that were taken out and that spring is no where in site. So I put it back inI also put that back in on Chris (FX45Chicago) when I did his too. Tim, did you leave that spring out?
No ill effect since installation with that spring in.
