The Random Question Thread

Did you reuse/heat the glue to stick the emblem back on?
I didn't reuse the glue and removed the emblem without heat. You can use the 3M Emblem Kit, I used automotive all weather glue.

Did you use primer on the emblem before wrapping?
I used 3M primer

Or simply cleaned/alcohol wipe before applying?
Also cleaned with alcohol

and is the grille's emblem the same way (glued)?
I have badgerless grille:tongue:

Does anyone know how to remove the Infiniti (Mt. Fuji) emblem on our trunk.
The gold is fading and I'm going to wrap it in gold chrome.. it's hard to do it with it on.

You can use a heat gun or if you dont have one fishing string does the trick along with a little WD-40 to get rid of the glue residue.

No problemo:wink:
I went to Auto Zone to look for 3M primer.. they didn't have any.
The rep told me this would work:

I just removed my emblem and sprayed it with this stuff... my emblem is now white for now.
Are the 3M primer and this primer entirely two different things?

Ouch, yes they are different. The 3M 94 primer is designed specific for a vinyl, it gives an extra adhesion:

I guess you can still wrap it, just let it dry for 24 hours.
