The Random Question Thread

swaybars are the same 35 & 45, only difference is 35 rwd does not get a rear bar installed at all, awd does, and it's the same front and rear as the 45.

Ed, i think that fault indicates a vacuum leak in the evap system. Check the rubber hose that connects to the intake tube. That's the easiest possible solution.

Tim is right, t-hose broke. Slamming45 did give me two so thanks.

Going to pep boys to see if there are stronger ones or jimmy rig it stronger. I think a more flexible hose will do the trick and a stiffer t-hose.

So happy it's not serious, I thought I had a fuel line hose leak.

All that new powah on tap, the little plastic joint didn't stand a chance... :p

Yeah, I got a new t and also soft connectors, happy I found these. Bought new hose too.

Cheap, easy fix. I'll try it tonight.

Love it when it's a cheap easy fix!!!

Yesterday my adaptive lights warning light came on on the dash. I was like son of a bitch...it was gonna happen at some point....I was driving told my wife to looking up the code and see what it means. She read on a nissan forum that it could display if you turn it off. I click on the switch bam it goes off and lights turn. I must had hit it with my dam knee getting out or in the FX. If it was any other car, it would have been a more expensive fix! I love this car!!!!!!!

My buddy has a 07 lexus es 350 and got quoted $300 for changing a bulb for his headlight that is on somedays and off somedays. Is he just able to order the bulb and is it an easy switch out?

LoL, $300. I'm sure he can find a DIY online or you can even help him figure it out. No way I would go to a dealer for a bulb swap. He may want to change the other side too, since the colors/burn time will be different.

Well my friends dad took his car to the stealership and got totally ripped off but paid for it...while my friend thinks its ridiculous how much he got ripped off and the like 5 extra things they did he came out on top so hes happy

Question is too open ended to give an answer. Since they are basically the same thing it comes down to specific years that were known for issues. That and the G35 probably has more stuff on it to break where the Z is more of a pure sports car.

Thanks Stu, im actually thinking about purchasing one of those models in a year or two.

On another note, has anyone test drove or owned both models?
and drove on winding roads?

I've driven both quite a bit... the Z is def more agile and it's a bit smaller so a little lighter, all else equal it will handle better, the suspension is more stiff, more sporty where the g is more comfort, more luxury, more room and a bit heavier, hence not as good in handling... which is better for you depends on your priorities... the G is more of a sporty coupe where the z is a straight up sports car. reliabilty is about equal, they share the same DNA and are very similar in many aspects

I drove a G coupe a few years ago, but don't remember it well enough to comment. Drove a Z last summer with lowering springs and low treadwear tires, and it was ridiculous(at least compared to the FX). I bet they are pretty good stock, and they get crazy with mods. Think of an FX but with less weight and a lot lower so basically no body roll and that's basically what the Z/G will be, with a nod to the Z like John said.

Hey guys, ive been riding with a crooked steering wheel for a while. After getting a alignment at a really good tire shop, i came home and tightened the rack bolt, after this the steering got messed up.
I was under the car today and i had the front 2 tires off the ground hence i didnt hear any clunking. So i was wondering what keeps the steering straight the toe? outer tie rod or inner?
