Review for the Leatherique leather Restoration on my seats (Lots of Pics)

Just wanted to add my review of Leatherique. I was able to do it yesterday in my car and my brother tried it in his Camry Hybrid too. I used a microfiber applicator to apply it as well as my hands. I used extra oil on the creases and on the bolsters of the seats where the most wear and tear occurs. My brother's initial impression was that the oil in the car smelled horrible, but the smell did not bother me at all. I applied it everywhere on the seats, even the steering wheel and the leather boot on the shifter. I only cleaned the front seats off, letting it sit for about five hours as I was excited to see the results. I am leaving the rear seats sit for 24+hours. After all was done, the seats are definitely cleaner, softer and all the creases are 95% gone. My seats did not have that much wear at all to begin with. I had this permanent indent in the leather from the seat belt buckle pressing down on it and the oil softened it up and removed the crease.

The car now has a subtle, but pleasant leathery smell to it too. The seats and steering wheel are not slippery, have a nice clean, matte finish on them and most of all the leather has more elasticity to it now. This isn't a miracle product where it will fix all of your leather issues, but this definitely helps for preventative maintenance on your leather. Overall, I would recommend this product as its easy to use and the oils wash right off your hands with soap and water.

Here is a pic of the driver seat before Leatherique. You can see the horizontal creasing from getting in and out. Nothing major, but definitely noticeable and if left untreated, it would eventually crack.

Here is a pic of of the same seat after Leatherique. The creasing is practically gone from letting the oil sit and work. It's now clean and soft, but the color looks different due to different lighting conditions. The seats look new again, very impressive!

Here is a pic of the dirty rinse bucket, just after wiping down one seat! This is what we are sitting on people!

wow, im gonna have to jump on that soon... my seats are creasing and the leather conditioning spray that i have isnt really doing much

Glad you finally did this Andrew. When I did this summer of 2011, my bucket was even way more dirty!

The key is to leave your car outside baking in the sun with windows up in 90+ degree weather. The heat is what makes it work best. I plan to do mine in the summer on a very hot day and leave it for 24 hours. I can't wait! :))) You should be smelling the leather much more now too - possibly that new car smell coming back?

I only did it on a 80 degree out. I will do it again and leave it on longer during the summer. But I wanted to try it and get the leather conditioned asap. I do notice the nice leather smell, but maybe someone else will notice it more. :top:

Told you Leatherique is the shit :top::top:

I love this stuff because it returns the seats to what they look like straight out of the factory, dry and matte looking. Most leather cleaning products out there actually make the seats look more oily and just sit on the surface of the seat. Leatherique actually goes into the micro pores and pulls the dirt out to the surface. Expensive but great stuff though :smug:

Yes, agreed! I knew before I used this I wouldn't expect miracles. Luckily my leather was only slightly worn after five years. This is a great product to keep the leather rejuvenated and looking new. And yes my car seats are so soft, smooth, and looks OEM new again. :top:

you're welcome. I just bought it and received it. going t wait for a nice day to do my seats. Nothng but good reviews if you google it

Did on my FX couple of weeks ago. 2 1/2 years of wheat interior is now back to factory condition.

Friends getting a ride - can't stop noticing the newness in the car.

A co-worker/friend of mine sat in my car a few days ago and he thought it was practically new. The scent of leather was very strong he said. I used Leatherique two months ago. I plan on doing the front seats every two months or so.

Here is my leatherique update:

as of 44K miles these are what my seats look like. No creases, no rips, no discoloring, etc. Funny thing is my seats are in better shape than most Infiniti's I see in the show room. Like I said before Infiniti leather is in no way cheap. Take care of it like it should and it will hold up to anything!

I also use it on my steering wheel, leather on the doors, dash, shifter, shift boot, etc etc
