You serious Jonas? Winter, Spring, Summer, dosen't matter. Those mats stay in there ALL year round. It's the Asian thing: walking around the house with your shoes off. :hahaha:

Actually took the weathertech liners off this year.. I like having the thinner oem ones now, at least during the warmer seasons.

You guys are crazy. It's so much more comfortable and much nicer inside with carpet mats instead of the weathertechs on there too. I cleaned out my weathertechs to like new and stored them a few weeks ago in the basement.

I've used my carpets 2 years already (and I'm sure it was used years prior) and it still looks almost new....looks sooo much nice and the smell of the car is better. I plan to get new carpet mats anyway in a year or something...they aren't very expensive plus then you get that new car smell more instead of covering it up.

I'm surprised you guys don't suran wrap the seats just like those old people and their couches. :alien:

I agree with you Jonas. I think I'm going to do the same and store my weathertechs for the summer. I'm just afraid of getting a heel foot imprint in the carpet.

Doing another long needed treatment today. This time I will leave it on for a week in the sun for even better results. I spoke to Greg over at detailedimage a while back about how to improve Leatherique applications with even better results and he agrees the longer you leave the rejuvinator (1st step) oil on the seats the better the end results will be. This gives it a longer work time to allow it to go into the pores of the leather and bring out all the dirt. As always it's recommended to leave it out in the sun to create a "sauna" effect on the interior to get the micro pores to open. Next few days will be around 95 degrees outside so that's perfect! My car will be dormant for the next few weeks anyways as I have no need to use it at the moment. Here are some pictures of the application today:

After this the oily residue and dirt will be cleaned up with hot water and Leatherique Prestine Clean.

I'm doing this to my 2007 today. It is cold outside. I have the FX running with seat heaters on and heat on full blast. I also have a 500 watt halogen shop lamp in the hatch area adding heat but not burning anything. Thermometer on the dash is presently reading 100F. I am also doing frequent passes with my heat gun to warm the surface areas from time to time.

I found my space heater in the basement today. Got the interior to 120F today. It is sitting cool overnight then I`ll heat it up again tomorrow and clean it all and see the results.

Today I got the interior up to 120f again. I then cleaned it off. It did ok but not as well as I thought it would after reading about this product.

As noted earlier its not a miracle product.

Agreed I didn't expect it to change the stitching into a 2nd gen seat but there were was a harder area in the back seat in the middle (flat spot where the middle passenger would sit). This spot was stiffer, smooth, and had some slight cracking showing. I didn't expect the crack to mend but I did hope to see that leather soften up some.

Wait a few weeks and reapply it again. My first time was so-so, because it wasn't hot enough and I left it on for only a few hours. Second time around, it was hot and I waited two days and the results were much better. But you seem to go a little overboard with the lighting and heating, lol. Anyways try a second application in a few weeks and you should see some improvement.

Well I don't think it was overboard when it was 32F outside my garage. :) I will wait for a hot and Sunny Denver Day.
