aaron, hows your leather holding up with this stuff?

Pretty good man. The leather was kind of stiff and hard before I used this, and it's still soft as butter now. I also see some parts of the leather that tend to crease when I'm sitting in it, and there is no cracks or anything at all. It really keeps the leather flexible.

I have to thank you for the tip, Fire0nic3! This stuff is truly among the best! I cleaned my leather this weekend with it and the results were amazing.
I recomend it to everyone

I have some Lexol at my work that I was going to use but after seeing this I'm going to give this a shot too. I'm just worried about clogging up the holes with the oil b/c on the link you added he puts it on pretty thick and says " Here I am applying the Rejuvenator Oil. Be sure to get a thick coating everywhere, and work it into the stitching as well." So I'm wondering if it'll work just as good if I apply only a thin coat.
I'll wait till summer though since its getting pretty cold out lately and they recommend doing it on a hott sunny day. My drivers side is getting a little cracked on the left side where you sit down. But at 30k and getting in and out of the vehicle a lot its typical. I don't like driving anyone else but the g/f so I don't have to worry about the other seats as much

I put it on pretty thick and when I was putting it on the main seating area where the pores are at, you could tell the leather really wanted it and was really sucking it up. What is the downfall and the concern with clogging up the pores potentially?

Basically, I used it at lot and am happy with the outcome. I don't see any ramifications whatsoever even using a lot of it. If this is is natural and really helps the leather, why such the big concern about those pores because I'm not seeing any ramifications from doing it? I'm just curious.

You don't necessarily have to do this in the summer. If you have a garage, do it inside of a garage. It also works better if you turn the heated seats on inside the FX with the regular heat on in the car. It helps open up the micro pores in the leather to allow the rejuvinator oil to soak in and work better.

For the perforated holes for the climate controlled seats, just put the rejuvinator oil on a cloth and work it on instead that way your not soaking it. For the other parts of the seats just use the sponge as recommended.

I just didn't want to fill in the holes on the leather and clog it up and then not have my cooling/heating seats work properly. I have a heated garage so I may do it.. I just figure the sun would have a better outcome. Big plus about doing it now is during the cold the leather is more likely to crack.

FYI, I applied the oil with my hands. I was able to get every nook and cranny that way and it was really easy to apply. That's how I was able to determine what parts of the leather it really needed more of the oil and what parts didn't as much just by feeling it. What I did was put a bunch on my hand, then put it on a normal piece of the seat and then when I just had it even on my hand decent amount but not dripping, used that on the micro pores and rubbed the leather quite a bit with my hands too.

Here's another thing to ponder:
So dirt gets in those pores and clogs them right? Lexol and other products clog pores right? This stuff pushes the dirt out as Aaron says and almost like I think does not clog but I think does the opposite.

So, I put it on a decent amount because when I afterwards used the cleaner and then hot water to clean it off, seemed like the wholes were even more apparent! :)

Alright alright.. well you guys talked me into it. Just bought the 16oz bottle kit from detailed image. Was $45 with shipping. I used the coupon code "early10" and it saved me 10 bucks. Hope this stuff works

I'll have to wait until Spring to apply mine. I have no garage to warm up in.
Lots of good tips, thanks everyone

no garage? no problem!

cover your seats in heavy gauge 55 gallon garbage bags. leave the car running with the heat on for a good 30-45 mins & let that sucker bake. turn the car off & close the doors.
the next morning you can remove the plastic bags & finish up with what your doing =)
the sooner you do it the better it is for your seats.

Hey, thanks for the tip Andrew. If I had someone like you nearby, I would be dropping it off so you could do your magic.

Hey great review, I have not used any other leather product to compare but Perrone, Perrone aerospace.I found the product works great in my 2003 FX. Perrone leather care products are manufactured for leather products in aircraft in there unique environment. The Cleaner W/conditioner 32oz is $12.99 and the conditioner 16oz is 15.99 less than the leatherique. Its not sold in Automotive stores, only in the aviation relateted industry.

Leatherique is good stuff, not sure if I would routinely use it though. It's magic really works on perforated leather.

Kind of like polishing a car...no need to do it every time you spruce up the car, but once or twice a year doesn't hurt.

Yes, but you can use the Prestine clean alone to keep it maintained.

ok...i'm sold!
my incoming '06 has a beige interior (wish it was black, but that's the curse of buying used, it has everything else)
it's in nice shape, but i also hate other peoples dirt!

wonder how it will work in my '05 mdx - that leather is so stiff and ugly.

It makes even cardboard stiff like leather turn soft and flexible. That's how cracking leather starts because the leather is too stiff and hard (no homo). So if it's stiff the leather will have a problem stretching, and that's how all the cracking starts.

Light interiors look real luxurious, but their a pain in the a** to keep clean =P. Especially with other people getting in and out of the car.

Thanks for the review, after 75k my 1st gen wheat leather is looking kinda haggard, even though I clean it regularly. I'll give this a try.

No problem bro! Remember to leave the Rejuvinator oil on for atleast a day or two for best results.
