Not too sure but he is going to get me into a loaner so it might take a while. I'll have a better piece of mind knowing it's covered through the dealer though.
make up your mind lol!! i think you went back and forth a million times on this one! but again I'll chat with you next week. a lot going on back and forth in and out of the dealership!
yeah guys haven't got it done yet.
I can't decide because I want everything done tilt sensors, smart start, gps tracking (even though I have LoJack), glass breakage, etc etc. And if I should go through the dealer or not.
I'm going to call Manny and ask him if he can also install my auto fold mirror module to get it to close and open when you lock/unlock the doors.
Where you got the module from?

ebay
Just search ZMC mirror
Your installer can make any of the viper remote starters work with your oem remote, but trust me you won't want that because you get a lot more functionality from the viper remote and most importantly the range is 100x better. Plus the viper remote is very slim if you get the viper 4204 remote start system without alarm, which is what I got. If you get the lcd one which is a step up, then you'd be carrying around a bulky black and white lcd screen as a key fob, which sounds like you wouldn't want so go with the 4204 like I did. Check out my jdTrader page if you want to see a video of it.Guys, can you please tell me, which module from the viper web site should I buy to make a remote start without alarm, but via my oem infiniti key fob?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your help! I thought that I could use my iPhone for the full functionality... But if You say it's good, then I'll try it))
Thank's again!
you can get the smart start (start it with your iPhone) with the 4204, just need the extra smart start module.
Depends on how proficient you are with wiring and schematics. I wouldn't trust myself to do a remote start on an electrically complicated vehicle like the FX, but a few have tackled it themselves.
My suggestion would be to find a competent installer and let the pros handle it.
I agree. Most cars yes, but FX no....
Just bought a 2010 FX50 and got a Directed Electronics remote starter installed with the cellular module to use the smartphone app. Works pretty well, but have to get the software checked since it sometimes cuts off when you open the door. Have to use a separate fob for the traditional remote start, but I'm hoping to get consistent enough performance with the phone app where I can just leave the fob at home.
You guys got me interested in this now. So from the packages on viper.com/smartstart the viper 5904 and the 5204 give the same function such as alarm start and everything but the 5904 just gives you a fancy screen remote? Also do you have to pay a subscription?
