Ray's Boost

Ok putting the last things on the engine right now. Soon i ill come to the point that i can do nothing on the engine anymore and need to start the build. As mentioned it all depends on the cashflow and i'm waiting on some final parts to come in.

The last parts i had painted came in last week. Pully bracket.....AC Bracket and thermostate. All painted in the same color blue. Everything is also fastend with the stainless imbus bolts. I honestly do not even want to know the final bill on those.....each time i stumble on somebolts i need again. And with now so much already done i am not going to do this half way.

Also i chromed both waterpipes left and right. Adjusted them both. No oil/water cooler anymore and no front return hose as well.
Also the position i corrected as in my attempt to try to tuk as many wires as i can i'm letting a friend of mine CNC make some rails ( see drawing ) kinda like fuel rails wich i will mount on top of both valve covers and am able to tuk the wiring of the coils and camsensor etc.....

I also lett the rings in front the of to lower pully's get chromed and found some blue anodized rings i had left from the other enginebay mod i did. Need to keep the theme going

I also received some new parts

Had the Perrin Oil Catch tank......liked the Blue silicone wich would match with the new Samco hoses. Afterseeing Jumbo's tread on OCC i decided to buy an additional one so one for each valve cover as these don't have any breather or extra connectors. And selling wasn't an option for now.

From NRG i got the Blue round Wiring kit and the Power steering tank wich now only came with a blue cap........what a pitty

I also have the ATI Epod lying here. I'm honestly still doubtin wether i should use it or not. I do not want all these gauges in the car. It is not a race car IMO but i do want the Wide Band Gauges as these are very important to me. Only easy position woul be this 350Z version ( see pic ) wich has the same upper steering panel as we do.

For the rest i have ordered the HKS Camp 2 with OBD connector and all additional sensors: Oil temp, Water temp, oil Press, Fuel Press and Boost. No EGT as i already have the widebands.

Finally got the Canton Racing filter as well.......only color was blue guys....i'n not going overboard with this color and know i need to be carefull up from now because i don't want it to be too much blue
Also purchased the Canton racing Fuel filter but think that would be one of those items wich you buy and will maybe never use......ohh well we'll see......

Didn't want to get to many colors under the hood. Theme now is Silver/Polish......Black and Blue and want to try to keep it that way. So i lett the front Summit / GTspec brace be painted in the same color blue as the engine and also the upper Strut rings wich were orange at first.....

Also i will be using the OEM Air Mass Housing wich is black plastic off course. I hae a few in stock so lett one be painted blue also just in case. All polished and paited and then such a black oem housing between it all wouldn't be a option as well IMO.

This week the SUMMIT underpanel came in as well. Now it is nice when looking down the engine bay. I thinki will mount it when the new engine is in....don't know why.....just want to keep everything new now

Looks like it's coming along together nicely ray. You can always put some of the gauges in the glove compartment for a clean look. I agree that too many visible gauges and doodads don't belong in an fx; wide band and boost is a must.

Wow ray, (maybe I'm being a little biased since blue is my favorite color) but that looks SO AWESOME!!! After putting everything together I wouldn't drive it I couldn't image getting that beautiful engine dirty lol. Great job ray! Looking forward to see more pics.

Haha yeah my idea as well. It is sitting right next to my desk here in the shop and it almost looks like a freaking piece of art :tonguey: Sometimes you see guys putting there harleys in the living room......i might do this as well......i'm not that much o a cleaning guy honestly.......

wholey shit man, I was going to say too, that's too pretty to even put in the car man, wow, def looks like art... I just sprayed everything on mine black :tonguey: looking good man

Thanks guys......really appriciate your comments so i know i have chosen the right route with the blue and all. Still need to be carefull not to overkill with it but will do my best. It is hard as i really love the color as well, and have to say in reality it is far more nice then on pictures.....with flash and all.

So it was an early christmass for me again yesterday. Parts from GTM arrived. Got the Dual Spal 14 inch Fanshroud.....Mocal Sandwitch block with build in thermostate for the oilcooler. And their oil distribution block for additional sensors.
Also i like their windshieldwasher reservoir as well. Nice smal addition with will probably come in handy with all these parts going in and not enough space for such things.
Also my second Perrin Oil Catch Tank came in today.....so that is covered as well.
I barrowed some pics of there website as the wife is out of town with the camera this week.

Working on the Euro Spec 350Z rear pumpkin i bought. Thing is casted iron and rusts like *@#%*!
Couldn't find someone to sandblast it for me so doing it the old fashion way.....
This Pumpkin has the LSD and a 3.5 Final Gearing in stead of the RWD 3.3 i have.
I'm only cleaning it up for now and see how she runs with my new set-up. I have a new Alu Finned diff cover for it but will mount that when i decide to go for another final gearing or not after i tested this one first. Then i will do the bearings and seals as well also and take it all apart. But for now......estatics first

Haha i just saw a car have a plexiglass piece in the middle of his hood on a last big tuningshow i went in Denmark.......and i did even brainstorm about it at that time.....but think it was the alcohol working at that time.

Always one big issue wich such ideas.........HEAT. And i gues it is also nice to see the reactions when you pop the hood open :tonguey:

Haha don't do this to me guys......i'm too sensitive for this shit

P.s: and it would be a big hassle as our hood isn't flat at any point also....
