Met this owner through Facebook and he had trouble uploading his progress a while back, so he gave me some photos from his profile and on VQ|Nation as well as other VQ group pages1.webp

sweet build, but how did that transmission hold up to all that power? CTS-V is definitely a better platform for going fast than a g35

The trans had upgraded clutches, upgraded transgo kit valve body, 2900 stall, -4 braided lines with 34 row trans cooler, LSD 3.53 gears and one piece aluminum driveshaft.

Trans upgrade $2000
G35 LSD $250
Driveshaft $500

He did 90% of the work myself so labor cost isn't factored in the price.

I like that he did most of it himself, that's a true build. Anyone can pay someone (if they have money) to throw parts on their vehicle, so this is extra cool

@g0ldm4g3 Can you find out his tire size for me ? I like how it sits

I didn't know there was a whole thread on my build on here, I don't really come on here because sometimes the questions get overwhelming. But the silver wheels on my first setup was A set of STR and they were 20x10.5 +15 REAR & 20x9.5 +18 FRONT. When I did the new setup I went with lighter wheels and radials, the black wheels were ENKEI GTC01 and they were 20x10.5 +22 square and about 22lbs per wheel about $620 per wheel.

Didn't even know there was a video of that night I tested the 465whp setup at that track in commerce GA. I honestly loved the truck and would do it again but horsepower was limited to mid 700's on that VQ35de without a stroker kit and I'm wanting to be at a 1000+whp so I'm going the LS route.
