My 03 FX35 Klasse Edition

when i was applying it, i couldnt tell if i had a nice ammount over the section i was working on, it wasnt thick like wax where i can tell. Hopefully when i put on the second layer it will go better. Is it suppose to kinda (i cant think of the word) but turn whiteish like wax when it dries and u whipe it off.

thanks. my ride is actually full of swirls esp (though not as bad as newer cars i see around) from my early years of washing and that the paint was never professionally touched/detailed sine 03. my routine is actually the nontraditional rinseless (optimum no rinse) when needed, but most of the time i go waterless (freedom brand i distribute) for light cleaning. when using optimum, i use the thickest wash mitt and with a separate bucket for cleaning it. i only use mf towels as well. cal duster in between. everything applied properly should cause little swirls at most. hope this helps.

been busy but had a few updates. nismo plate frame, nrg hood struts, and just hours ago, headlight and grille painting. i finally found someone local and decided to try him out. he's done a lot of z's and acuras already and found him in forums. here's a pic for now, better pics soon. im very happy with the results:

i decided to keep the "rings" and the emblem chrome to be consistent with the look of my wheels. the grille was a last minute addition. sidemarkers were medium tinted too. as always, anyone is welcome to checkout the work done on my fx if interested.

p.s. mods, feel free to move this to media since my posts are not all detailing stuff. thanks.

Looking really good. You definitely made a good last decision to leave the chrome emblem on the grille. Chrome rings on the headlight shroud is a good decision too. :top:

gotta thank IS again for the ideas done already and helped me decide :top:.
here are some better shots.

last time i left the grille chrome and smoked headlights so i figured an update would be to paint the grille less emblem.

thanks again. it looks it is time to move on to another ride. im near final with the decision after 8 plus years, wanting a small daily car, tight parking at work, and a 40yr bday gift. :smile (2): im still looking into keeping it, but it will be really impractical since family have 2 other cars already. ill keep all the options open for now.

so i sold the fx and took home a fully loaded nissan juke and lived happily ever after. that was more of a late april fools version. i did buy another car.:smile (2):

i did took home a nissan juke one evening and left the fx. it was a nearly done deal and just checking that my wife will at least be ok driving the replacement car. the juke interested her on print and video, but she end up hating it in person. it was a fun drive though with a small turbo and some neat features. i end up taking the juke back and taking the fx home. my wife changed her mind on selling the fx too. we are keeping it as our "special events" ride.

days later i found a deal on a scion iq, the smallest car with a backseat. love this ride for its "keep all small" features and extreme manueverability. i can make a complete turn around within 2 lanes! i make slow donuts when i feel like it. the only problem i have is whether i should call it a new ride, half a ride, or a 94 hp mod. :dontknow:
