My 03 FX35 Klasse Edition

thanks guys. i was a little worried on how the black lip will or will not match the black fx since the gimped pic i did looked ok at best. worked out well, now i look at the wheels more than the fx itself :).

bbks would be nice after new roof, furnace, property tax, patio floors, etc... :tongue (2):.

How do you like the Hankooks in general? I'm looking to get 285-35-22's really soon and I'm debating between Yokohama Parada's and Hankooks. Looks like you had them with your 20"s too. I have Yoko's have like them a lot but I think I will try Hankook this time. Any pics of the FX and tires from the rear?

love the hankooks! great improvement from my original 18s pootenzas to the 20s ventus and just about the same ride with the 22s (until i run on any road imperfections). i think majority of us here are either with these or paradas so you cant go wrong either way. ill see if i can get rear shots next.

thanks again for the compliments. i recently updated all my interior lights to leds and now about to change something outside. :smile (2):

earlier today, i removed the smoked vinyl from my headlight. even after 3+ years, this film was removed easily (after i learned a few things). pulling slowly helps removing most of the adhesive film, and using the peeled portion to "restick and pull" on areas with adhesive removed even more. the rest can be removed by just pressing with my finger and rolling it together. it took a little time, but better than my first attempt of using tons of wd40 to soak the whole surface and taking forever to remove the stuck film with my nails. ill just finished later with a little wd40 to get the remaining 1% off.

it looks like im going for painting the headlights black or ice blue vinyl from stickercity for a different look (and match some blue led on my interior). im already talking to a shop, but i welcome any socal recommendations for painting headlights.

Don't do blue.

Look into StickerCity's "Iron"

i read that bmw and porsche dealers maybe selling them, im sure at premium price as well. i got mine from klasse direct. the high quality microfiber and applicator they sent me is still intact after about 7 years now!

hmm i looked at both the red bottle and the grey one. Ones a all in one and ones a sealant. Which one do you think would be better?

Just got my bottles in today, gonna try them out. Says its easy off and easy on. Would it be bad if i left it on in the sunlight? Pretty hot this week.

sealant glaze is on top of aio. i rarely use mine since it is a pain to wipe off unless you leave it for a long time. i might experiment toping my waterless stuff with glaze.

i just used that stuff today, and my arm is about to pop off from whiping on and off, feels like that stuff doesnt dry untill a little bit after, even though the bottle says no dry time. What sucks the most is so far with one layer it just seems like normal wax, havent got that nice shine u have.

I think its safe to say, a buffer is HIGHLY recommended in using klasse, unless ur ready to get a nice arm work out or get a friend =].

Buffers are nice, but man you get just as much weird feeling from that thing vibrating. Half the time I'm done with mine I can't feel my hand.

you were like me when i first tried using it long time ago. you are probably using too much. try applying to the entire car before removing with a mf towel.
