I see BLUE!!!!

got my confirmation email today from farnell! originally i was going to order from them, but, i had to confirm my payment and order before it calculated delivery charges... i cancelled just in case they wanted $20 and it was too late to do anything about it - considering that on another site that supplied leds from them, the plcc's were cheaper but farnell wanted a $20 handling charge.....

either way, i couldn't find the exact ones anywhere else, so i went thru them. hopefully the cluster will be (re)done next week and in the FX. everything else is done already minus a couple odds and ends: clock, key ring, headlight adjustment switch.

EDIT: i bought 50 of the cluster LEDs so i should have some left over afterwards if anyone may be interested in swapping a few out to see if they like the look or not. i believe it takes 31 to complete all 4 gauges.

fyi incase anyone tries, the fx will not charge the battery without the cluster plugged in, found this out the hard way so yeah, can't really drive around without it

lol yeah. i know what you mean. and as far as my message above this one.... i have absolutely no idea what the hell that's supposed to say. i know what i meant, but, that's what my fingers typed lol...

if i were "rushing" i could probably get the radio/hvac controls done in about 1-2 days. the cluster, if i were swapping out 06+, could be done in one day along with door switches and other things. so probably 2-3 (depending) for everything to be swapped, tested, and repackaged.

Ohhhh so that's what happend.....?? I had the same problem but thought my battery was dead or such.Or that i just didn't drive it to often so it ran out due to a leak or such....

Better give post numbers. This thread is only 9 pages long for me. :err:

Haha stulax i have a 17" screen and you'll probably have bigger  but if anyone who want to see the pics just scroll true the pages they'll find the pictures soon enough i gues

i looked at the pdf for removing the cluster but im a bit confused.... is there only the one screw and a couple of pawls holding it in place?

got the leds swapped out!

what about your cluster did u do that too??? if u did can i see some pixxx just wondering how it would look blue other then orange :iS: sorry didnt look on page 3 i see now that shit is hot

been wanting to change my dash lights as well... can this be a DIY or go with a pro shop, if so any recommendations on long island?

Our interior lighting has never been my favorite. Working with one of the guys on my350z on a conversion.

You tech and 06+ guys are lucky to not have the orange display. I like the Alpine set up over the Infiniti nav but wish it was like the 06+ with a pretty screen. Will be relocating my orange screen overhead like I've been planning to do for a while now.

Before.

Sorry for the mess, FX is still being worked on.
Key in ignition so it's daylight brightness.

Lights on so main screen dims

We left the status lights red so it is easy to read and not a flood of blue.

Window switches were done as well.

The led conversion is done pretty dam well. Very even in person and the personal preference impact is badass. He's working on the gauge cluster too, it's no where near as simple as the Zs he done so far but he thinks that he can do it. Will post up details and costs once we're done with it all. :iS:

Behind the stereo buttons

To get at the window switches, just yank them out
