GTSPEC Strut Tower Group Buy!

My bar is not bent but does not allow the hood to close properly. When it closes, the hood does not line up with the fender at all. It sits about the thickness of the hood above where it should. Not sure what the problem is other than it is designed to high perhaps.
 
I tried to make it work three times on level grounds. Even if my hood closed and everything lined up, with the force it took to close it I would not want it installed while driving, I would likely end up with dents in my hood. Not pissed off, but rather disappointed.
 
Hope that I don't have this problem since I already had a problem with my bar being bent.

Just noticed this epic thread as well. I have not yet fitted my GT SPEC brace supplied from the KOSO group buy. As you all know have had other issues to content with. I hope this problem does not arise when i fit mine
 
Wow guess some of us wether have extra space under the hood or just got lucky with the way the bar was made.
Mine fits without any problems on my 04.
 
I put tape on top of the blue brackets, on top on the bolt that connects to the bar, sticky side up. It stuck fast to the liner on that side. I ran tape across the entire bar and that did not stick to the hood liner. I really is a bad scenario. That this would severely damage my hood, quickly I presume.
